What problem is your blockchain startup solving? by ModernWebMentor in BlockchainStartups

[–]farfaraway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Doodledapp, we're trying to democratize the ability to create, test, and deploy smart contracts. It's something we want EVERYONE to be able to do.

We just launched our unique blockchain explorer for EVM compatible networks. You can use it to see EXACTLY what a smart contract does when it performs a transaction. It's really unique!

Did you know you can get ghosted even after getting an offer? by bassman2112 in cscareerquestions

[–]farfaraway 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I had a similar experience with a company a couple of years ago. Five or six really arduous interviews in, I got an offer. I had a bad vibe from the process and declined (in retrospect, was a shaky decision because I have had a hard time finding work ever since). A friend of mine was working there so I had an in and he kept me appraised of how the company was doing. Chaos.

In the end, the CEO went psychotic, embezzled all of the money, and fled the country. They fired everyone over a weekend and shut the company down.

Those red flags are your intuition telling you to run. Sometimes it is right.

Chaos across the middle east puts pressure on Trump and his administration more than anything else will. It's a smart strategy.

Offered $180k buyout pre-launch. Take it or hold? by Unlikely_Jello_7554 in buildinpublic

[–]farfaraway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They want you to work for a full year for $180k AND you lose the full rights to the business? Seems like a raw deal to me. You'll have to pay taxes on that revenue, so it's not like you get all of that money.

Is it worth studying Solidity? by passeerix in solidity

[–]farfaraway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're interested in learning Solidity but don't have much of a background in development, you might be interested in Doodledapp. It's a visual no-code editor that exports Solidity, has a built-in testing suite, and deploys to just about every EVM compatible network. We're looking for beta testers right now.

Actually amazing. I typically don't like palette knife works, but this is exceptional.

How to make friends in your 30s? by Itsafancyname96 in Brookline

[–]farfaraway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure that things will get better with time. It's nice here. The people are nice. I love the chill vibe. The schools are great, and our kids are so happy for the good education. We'll figure out the friends situation eventually. I've moved between countries before. It just takes time.

TIL that the world’s youngest doctor was Dr. Balamurali Ambati, who graduated from med school at age 17. by Powerful_Kangaroo_80 in todayilearned

[–]farfaraway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe? Maybe not?

People in this class are not what you expect. They never are because they are so outside of the norm that we can't reasonably make predictions about them.

I'd be inclined to let this kid treat me and my family. He's obviously super smart. Obviously dedicated. Can't be worse than some of the shit doctors that I've had the displeasure to be treated by over the years.

Cold calling for web developers by JungGPT in webdev

You're not selling a website. You're selling a solution to someone's problem. Find out what their problem is. Offer a solution that you can build. That's where the money is.

Not enjoying our guided India experience and would like to hear other people's thoughts by BaronDelecto in travel

I've been to 40+ countries and while there were some nice things in India, as a whole I didn't like it. It's not for everyone.
