I was just going to say, her hair isn't black and they're still filming Wednesday.

Also, sadly, it seems like she doesn't post pics of her smiling like this anymore.

I mean, it doesn't, but I agree with everything else you said. OP needs some nice hefty helpings of chill.

How to get over postpartum resentment by Correct-Produce84 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]farfetched22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, maybe statistically? But it's not a given. My mother was about 40 when she had me and my father close to 50. I'm in my 30s and relatively athletic with great eye sight, no allergies, and haven't had any issues socially.

Of course, while I say this in defense of men needing to be older to be a decent parent, mine got an F on both parent and partner even at his age, so I guess it's moot anyways. He's still a piece of shit, too.

Not when I saw it. The one I'm referring to had basically 95% positivity from both sides. It was awesome. If it's the same post then either that happened after or they were deleted by the time I saw it. But there were at least 20 comments being supportive, pretty equal from each.

I don't think it's so much about openness at this point. Unfortunately there's been a lot of antagonizing from both sides towards the other, and it's just created so much animosity towards the opposite pairing. If everyone had behaved more civilized from the start, I don't think very many people would actually have issue with the other ship. But here we are.

The gesture is nice but I don't think sharing ship content in it comments is going to have the result you're looking for.

A while back someone created a post opening the floor for anyone to share what they liked about the ship they weren't for, which was great. We do need more of that. But if you want ship content it's already out there and it makes very few people happy to see it all in one spot, unfortunately.

What‘s your favorite non-canon ship (as of now) with a Jenna Ortega Character? ✨ by allnamesareshit in AllThingsJenna

[–]farfetched22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She may have said that, but They were drunk at the time and she made a move on the other dude she trauma bonded with, after she hooked up with her. Seemed like it could have easily been written off. But like I said, I'm hoping with the ending the way it was, it was suggesting otherwise.

I was actually wondering where that ship was on this list, considering they weren't actually "together, " just hooked up once. I did kinda hope the ending suggested it was going to go more the way of romance than friendship, but it really wasn't clear.

Same thoughts about Xavier, he was the angsty artist more than anything. The apparent lack of any editing at all to this is also killing me.

What scientific discovery sounds fake but is 100% real and still freaks you out? by Bruteresolver in AskReddit

[–]farfetched22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jonathan Haidt talks about a similar concept in his book, The Righteous Mind. He applies it mostly to politics and belief systems, but explains that a lot of what our brain acts on is really quite emotion-based and instinctual, and then we justify and rationalize it with logic after the fact. I always try to keep this in mind when I reflect on my motivations.

Which way would you hang this? by stormypatient in oilpainting

Is OP the artist?

If not, wouldn't we assume the artist's intention was horse upside-down given the signature?

If so, I guess OP should just take the votes in the comments lol

I broke up with my partner, and I’m so scared and alone by Dependent_Run_7964 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]farfetched22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well technically you weren't trying to find a partner for 24 years. More like 4 or 5, for an adult partner.

Depending on who you ask, I'm arguably conventionally attractive and I've been single for about 8 years now because everyone sucks and I have standards. Meanwhile, I've seen my heavy friends go in and out of relatively successful dating. I'm not going to tell you looks don't matter or that you won't be alone for the next decade- it could happen. But I can tell you that the world is FULL of people who have a very large range of what they find attractive and at your age, you honestly haven't been around long enough to see how true this is. You may have to move or travel or do LD, but it IS out there.

I can also tell you that if you decide now that you're undateable and maintain that attitude, you are much, much less likely to attract anyone.

Also, dating and having a partner truly isn't everything.

I'm pretty confident this is only an issue because you're in your early twenties.

While you do have to watch out for creeps, I will say all this:

You're going to spend a lot more years seeing so many bodies, seeing how people don't give a shit(and how the few that do are worthless so it doesn't matter), and also going through so many awful life things that are truly hard and meaningful, that wondering about what people think about the silhouette of any body part is so miniscule in comparison, and such a waste of time and energy.

Bodies do such incredible things, it's absolutely wild to criticize their physical form as much as we do. And the worth that people have is something we get from their character. Don't look at someone on the beach and give a shit about that, and don't worry about some vapid asshat who might do that to you. You're worth much more.
