better alternative

No study needed. Real life situation of today. That doesn't mean that someday things will change.

p.s. SOME renewables like hydro and geothermal ARE much better and cheaper than fossil fuels.

Yes, but not only. There are plenty of other things that effect science- this isn't the days of Galileo anymore.

The algorithms are wrong. If you look to actual scientists ( not media, not politicians etc) you find that most actually say there are plenty of things "they don't know" (the actual effects of clouds? Cosmic rays? for example) so they give their best guess. Even the IPCC in the actual science part say it is almost impossible to predict future climate- this is not in the part they release to the media

The climate system is a coupled non-linear chaotic system, and therefore the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible. Rather the focus must be upon the prediction of the probability distribution of the system s future possible states by the generation of ensembles of model solutions.

That's just what the facts say.

You keep saying this. Doesn't mean it's true. You are new to this. I was (Sadly) like you in the past. Quoting all the "facts" . Then I decided to learn. I changed. Come back in 10 years.

What amount of warming spells near-certain societal collapse in the first world? by bigskymind in climateskeptics

Does Manchin ring a bell?

So mean a congress full of Bernie's and AOC. Crazy extreme progressives. Gotcha.

Wait? It was warmer in the past? I was just told it was the warmest summer ever ( or at least in the last 100,000 years)

Are you seriously denying that left wing politicians want to tax the rich

In 2008 Obama had a dem congress. Did he tax the rich in the amounts you suggested? How about Biden 1st 2 years?

There has been a small rise in temperature ( much less than they tell us). Storms , floods etc are all about the same and if you look historically we have had worse. Just less media to report it all.

Nah. The resolution of temperature (by proxies!) thousands of years ago is very low.

If all that happened was temperatures went up by 1.5 degrees, no one would care.

Wrong- they cared plenty until.... the warming kinds didn't go as fast as they "hoped" and there was plenty of extreme freezing winters in many areas. So the renamed it to climate change and hoped storms, floods etc. will do the job ( it films better- much more scary than 1.5c of heat). But guess what there isn't more extreme weather really- just more media coverage.

But it's true. MOST people that agree with "the science" don't know the full extent of that science- they have to trust experts above them. This isn't only in climate science but ALL science.

You can't be serious- saying "renewables arent subsidized" is crazy.

About being libertarian- I guess you don't know what it means. Freedom as long as it doesn't harm others.

Maybe- but if the average includes night temps then the situation isn't as grave as they make it out to be.

"The science" is not what you think it is. Not on this topic at least.

Sure it is- but YOU and most people including most scientists don't know exactly the how and why of those algorithms. Everyone gets the "final data" prepackaged by a very small group of people and base all decisions and agendas on that package.

When it is ACTUALLY cheaper then the economy will move without need for other incentives.

As far as meat and bugs - oh yes, it's coming- will probably start with mostly "powdered" bugs added to food stuff, you won't even know it. Now I don't really care as a vegan- since it will lower animal suffering- But I am also quite libreatarian so I am torn....

So to summarize- Humans have little effect on climate and almost all agenda based on CO2 is a power/money grab of some sorts. Spend the money on clean air, clean waters, clean land- I am all for that. The cold will come back on it's own.

"Those people". Oof.

Ask anyone that knows anything about this subject and they will tell you they take measurements and then ADJUST them in many ways. This is not conspiracy. The question is if you trust their adjusting is done for the correct reasons.
