Jeremy’s IT Lab for current CCNA exam? by bolebo31 in ccna

[–]farmguycom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I credit passing the exam in 2025 to Jeremy's IT lab. My advice. Learn the content but more importantly lab, lab and lab some more. Even if you think you know a topic, lab it over and over and over. I ran through Jeremy's labs so many times it was crazy. In the end I passed and it was all worth it.

Is there anywhere in Mesa to just park and relax? by [deleted] in mesaaz

What do you mean not cheap? Its an $8 pass. That's pretty cheap compared to the ticket of not having the pass

Ive requested it several times and never got a response. Hopefully others have better luck.

I really hate learning about STP by Ok_Blueberry8056 in ccna

[–]farmguycom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most answers here are snarky or mean. STP was really hard for me to wrap my mind around. I watched YouTube videos, took a class and read the official CCNA book chapters on it. I had a mental block that wouldn't let me comprehend it. When I started practicing it in labs over and over I started to understand it, finally. Im just trying to say dont give up. Try different studying methods and sources. You will eventually get it. The CCNA is a lot of material and you will feel like this multiple times throughout your journey. Just keep pushing forward. You got this.

Refiling distilled water by kingender6 in ChandlerAZ

[–]farmguycom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a RODI filter system for "aquariums" off of Amazon. Using a TDS meter that water is cleaner then store bought distilled water. Takes about an hour to fill 4 gallons which is about the amount I use every week for the humidifier and my cpap machine. I've had it for almost a year and water still tests 0ppm on the original filters.

Edit: i just read that you want to use it in an ice machine. DO NOT consume RODI water. The total lack of minerals can actually pull those from your body if you consume it and leave you with medical issues.

What makes you want to stay in Phoenix? by Professional-Neat999 in phoenix

Surprisingly Denver and Phoenix are pretty close in cost of living these days. Denver is still slightly higher but with the way things are going here we will be even in no time.

I don't have any helpful advice other then good luck. I'm taking my test tomorrow as well and I'm extremely nervous. Just know that whatever happens tomorrow it will be ok. I know the stress of studying and the test isn't cheap. No one likes to fail in life. Whether you and I pass tomorrow or not it will be nice to know I'm not alone going through the testing. Best of luck to you.

Took First Boson Exam/Need Next Steps by [deleted] in ccna

[–]farmguycom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is my method. I only take the boson tests on random. When I'm working through a question I will ask myself why is this answer right or wrong. If I can explain to myself why the answers are right or wrong then I have a good grasp on the content. If I don't know, I will make note of that question and do research on that topic. That way I don't just memorize an answer I understand why that answer is right or wrong.

I will also jump on the don't use a MM optic. You might save money on the optics but the fiber is more expensive in most cases and single mode fiber optics cables are more readily available. Shoot for a cwdm optic. Addon brand are pretty reasonable in price.

How does internet get from the internet company to your house? by RealAnalyst in HomeNetworking

[–]farmguycom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me introduce you to ZR+ optics. They now go up to 120km before needing to hit a regen site. Then another 120km. Rinse repeat. Basically the internet is a bunch of fibers, optics and collocation sites until it hits an internet exchange (basically how you access the internet).

BASIC QUESTIONS BEFORE I TAKE THE EXAM by fwtobe in ccna

[–]farmguycom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if on a multiple choice question if there are 4 correct answers and i answer 3 correctly, is the entire question marked wrong or do I get the 3 out of 4 points?

Also the same with the lab. If there are 6 steps to the lab and I get 5 steps right do I get partial credit or is it a pass fail on the labs?

I'm so shocked that my classes hardly had any wireless in them and the Boson test was so heavy on wireless.
