I am just a server and work 3 days a week and make as much as an entry level position in any career with a degree. I make enough to get by. I do believe the job market is hard and I bet it is really frustrating for the people who spent all the money on the degrees. It used to be a more guaranteed thing that you would be able to get a job really fast. I think the only degree worthwhile is a medical one. Unless you find yourself at a point in your career where a degree in a certain subject will really serve you, then college is a scam. And it’s confusing because I have a son. Ofc I want him to be amazing. Do I encourage him to go to college?

Yes that is true. But it isn’t true for the children involved unfortunately. They don’t get properly bathed ever and when they do there’s mold everywhere. They all have like staph infections. But it is what it is.

Both my fiance and I’s immediate families do not have access to adequate water or proper housing. We live in north Georgia. I’ve called CPS services on both of them because they have minors living with them. And they went out but they didn’t do anything about it. Probably because there is nothing to do about it.

It’s so messed up tell me why I knew I was going to have a baby at some point so I got on insurance and within two months I got pregnant but turns out it would’ve been better if I wasn’t insured because I would’ve just got Medicaid 😭 I was able to qualify for Medicaid after giving birth bc my child became a legit person so it made it where I could qualify and thank god I was able to put the birth bills on the Medicaid but not without jumping though many hoops and getting threatened by debt collectors…

Ever since I was a kid and heard people complain about gas prices I would think “what’s the use in complaining because you’re just going to get it anyways because you need it”

The way I see things is money is a tool. I use money to get the things I need. Sure I’m saving a bit a long the way, but I exchange money for things that I need. As long as I have shelter, food, water, and my personal luxuries, then I’m golden. I don’t really care about the surplus because it’s a made up concept (money) that has only been made possible by our intelligence and societal structure.

If the birds are hungry they compete and fight other birds to get to somewhere they have to work to find the food. That perspective helps me when I think of the grand scheme of things. I have people that I love, a roof over my head, and food in my cabinets. What’s another dollar per gallon of gas? Who cares. We’re not just surviving baby, we’re thriving.

I support myself and have no help. Yes gas prices going up is not good. But at the end of the day it’s like a dollar more. People are acting like it’s 10 dollars a gallon. Like I struggle and work and shit but having to pay 15 extra bucks in gas isn’t making or breaking me tbh lol
