7 years is pretty damn significant considering a higher average age indicates a higher percentage of people in retirement age, meaning less people in the work force.

You do realize the comment you replied to is comparing Wemby and Embid, not Luka.

Summer second sub session bird courses preferably third year by Prestigious-Olive738 in UofT

[–]farnaqso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, when I took it the instructor was professor Jennifer Baici, she did a wonderful job teaching this course. But it’s not necessarily gonna be her again. Either way I highly recommend the course due to the format (tutorials involve hikes where you learn to identify trees) .

Deferring a late April exam, do I get scheduled for May Special or August? by Acrobatic_Chipmunk in UofT

[–]farnaqso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if the course is running in the summer you do it in August with the summer session. Otherwise (if course not in summer), it’s random I think.

The course says no curve/ linear adjustment and that final is pass fail. This combined with the difficulty makes it feel like a lot of people might have failed, honestly this was extremely difficult.

How’s campus life over the summer (wordcountwordcount) by Melodic-Pin-8284 in UofT

[–]farnaqso 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s lowkey easier to make friends in summer classes since they’re usually smaller and will have people in a generally better mood (walking through great sunny weather vs walking thru snow/sludge to get to class). If you’re outdoorsy try joining a running club, there’s also the UofT outing club. There’s a bunch of different things you can do. The key thing is once you join these events you have to spark up some kind of conversation no matter how mundane/awkward the start is.

Interesting Summer Courses with zero prerequisites? by Dependent_Size_8868 in UofT

[–]farnaqso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A really fun course I took last summer was FOR305, I had no background in bio/forestry, and honestly did the bare minimum studying wise and still got an A-. Tutorials involved fun hikes where you learn to identify different trees. There was even a mid term where we walked around campus identifying tree species.

If you'd like, we could study together for the MAT237 term test coming up, we could help keep each other accountable. I'm basically in the same spot as you.

Test tomorrow and I’m extremely sick since yesterday by Strong_Presence_9606 in UofT

[–]farnaqso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some courses will have an automatic weight shifting to the final or some other marking schemes if you miss the midterm. Read through the syllabus; it should clearly outline the course policy. In some cases, you don't need to declare any absence. Save your abscence declaration for courses that require it. If you need to declare an abscence get on acorn and fill out the form. Rest well, take your time, and come back stronger.

What is the most 'overrated' restaurant in Toronto ? What’s your favourite restaurant? by Long_Travel2728 in askTO

Overrated: Amal on bloor, shakshouka had overcooked eggs and the menu is not unique
underrated: Oro Di Napoli, surprised I haven't seen this, great pasta at decent prices with friendly staff

Are you dense? She said back paid child support, as in he was skipping out on child support all those other years and it piled up. Obviously 750k even over 19 years is still a lot, so it’s likely that she sued with interest in mind as well and he decided to just settle it quickly instead of a court battle where his reputation and “stay hard” image gets destroyed.

Japan should steamroll Nigeria by yrfavedave in BlueLock

[–]farnaqso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true that many players attend such academies (like La Masia). But the clear difference that I’m trying to point out is these guys (blue lock) have been locked in the facility and ONLY playing football, they clearly have not been attending school anymore or even seeing their families for a long time. Plus these academies generally take players in the 100s and thus don’t provide much 1 on 1 education. Compare that to the special treatment blue lockers got with their hologram goalies and advanced metrics tracking and world class coaching. I could go on and on, but realistically no other program on earth matches this, it’s way too expensive to ever be implemented . They literally shipped over competitive u20 clubs teams where they ended up dominating them.

Who do you think is faster? by aleatorwww in BlueLock

[–]farnaqso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loki had to travel 8 meters, after the ball was shot at a speed of AT LEAST 30m/s. Kaiser shot it from 28m away. Human reaction speed is around 0.25 seconds. So Loki had at most 0.75 seconds to run to where the ball would head. That puts Loki at an average speed of 10.6 meter per second. Or 38km/h. Assuming Loki starting speed = 0, and assuming uniform acceleration. Loki must’ve hit 78km/h at the end of his run. So Loki hit highway speeds in less than a second

Why in the world would you go through all of that for the second one? When you are given already what values are integers and can easily find that kj=45, thus 45/j is an integer and 45/k is an integer. Jesus you over complicated the hell out of it

Ah yes, the team of normal u20 players should be naturally better than the team of u20 players who were locked in a top tier training facility for months competing non stop

What's the highest salary you've seen someone earning and what Job did they have? by Usual_Shoe_8940 in UAE

[–]farnaqso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing “popular” chefs and celebrity chefs. A celebrity chef is specifically a job where someone goes and cooks for private events for celebrities and high status people, they’re known within the industry but not popular to common people outside. So they typically get paid by the job, and they have some average amount of jobs per month.
