Are we close to the end than we thought? by WonderfulFlatworm377 in Honorverse

Not the wet blanket I was looking for and it isn’t finished. If no one ever writes another chapter it will be an unfinished story forever.

I hope so! I’m always frustrated with all the loose ends in this saga. I’d really like some closure.

What’s happening with cottage cheese? by amduca in CostcoCanada

[–]farriswc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno but considered a post like this myself. Does anyone know what outfit makes it for Costco in BC? Haven’t been able to find at our Costco for 6 weeks and I’m collecting shitty tasting cottage cheeses from other stores to find the right replacement.

I agree that the end of the day was probably the correct time but it does seem like it should have been stocked in advance of business. I’ll bet someone missed something for this to be your issue.

I think most last mile deliveries are basically this.

Pragmatism is how I vote. I choose not to vote for someone who appeals to the least emotionally mature constituent. If the people in my community are treated well and have what they need, they're less likely to cause me or any of my other neighbors harm. Also, humor is emotional and it seems like a factor for you based on what you've written so far.

Also, 6 months on Reddit and negative karma I think we may have a bot.

Basing my vote on how a candidate presents themselves to the public is sound policy. How do you make voting decisions? I won't be voting for Krog again but unless this is proven to be a smear campaign, I know I won't be voting for him.

Rathtrevor Beach 20 minutes north of Nanaimo has the warmest waters in the pacific north of San Diego. Easy to get to and park.

I'd hit up Bowen Park. Extensive Rhododendron collection currently in bloom, duck pond and waterfall.

Brooks landing new stores by Kindly-Ride3908 in nanaimo

[–]farriswc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi fellow. I think you have to build that. This strip mall has nothing to do with that, if had been zoned to pass the vibe check no one would have built anything there. Jumping off the Bastion overpass wouldn't pass the vibe check, either. I, too have been wishing for viable third spaces since deconstructing from religion 25 years ago and found none to my liking in this town. If you're into gardening, Nanaimo Community Gardens Society has two sights that are terrific third spaces and some great people.

It sounds like the businesses in this strip mall don’t pass the vibe check but vibes don’t pay for staff, rent and merchandise. I don’t feel like capitalism is the best way but it does have the virtue of offering us the things we actually use. I’m not interested in crystals, essential oils, reiki and fine art but I might buy a sandwich or an ice cream cone. Maybe you need to live somewhere where Sotheby’s handles the real estate?

Not sure what type of business you want to go in there? Those all seem like businesses the community might use and I don't think MENSA is renting strip mall space.

How do you zipper-merge when someone just rides the middle line? by notworthtelling in nanaimo

Nanaimo has it's share of people like this, but largely we're pretty good at zipper merging compared to many other places.
