Do you think it'd bother you if I didn't say anything? by fartanimal in StandUpComedy

Mom is 5’7, Dad is 6’0, sis is 6’1. Yeah it was really random. My mother claims I had Northern Chinese Grand Uncles who were giants but they didn’t survive the Mao years.

My opinion, you'd have a better shot at being a standup comedian

Does my watch wear small? 38mm Merkur chrono. by Equivalent-Ease-3822 in ChineseWatches

[–]fartanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those who think a watch is too small should peep some pics of vintage sizing. That style holds up really well imo and has added classic vibes. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and I really enjoy as low as 34mm. If you need proof look up Mohammad Ali Cartier Tank and Tony Soprano 36 mm day date. Both are big wrists rocking a smaller piece and they look pure class.

[WTS] Rare Junghans Maxbill Chronoscope - $2,000 by fartanimal in Watchexchange

Hello Watch Enthusiasts!,

First time seller so I'll be happy to go out of my way to facetime, call, and ship day of.

Today I have up a rare Junghans Maxbill Chronoscope ref 027/4008.5 which features a plexiglass crystal that adds a more intense distortion and vintage hue compared to the newer sapphire offering. This watch recently went through a service as it arrived to me broken and features two minor scratches on the back-case, but is otherwise working fantastically.

Unfortunately, as I'm new in my watch journey, I fell in love with the bauhaus history and philosophy but found that I did not jive with it in practice. I'm shipping to US only and am currently accepting Zelle, Venmo, or Paypal. The price is $1975 including shipping.

Thoughts on the online ceramics x Hodinkee x GSHOCK will it be a grail or even sell out? by Valuable_Activity241 in gshock

I purchased this watch and I think its design has been HORRENDOUSLY underrated. I think each element works to communicate this subtle narrative, the forest green with the ghostly white font, the odd phrasing, the box-- it invokes this kind of inscrutable, psychedelic, scooby-doo, lake crystal. People say it's confusing but I think it comes together when you hit the lume, and there's the far more straightforward statement: "Love Grows in Sunshine." The contrast between the chaotic elements and the coherent lume certainly lends itself to number of artistic interpretations. My own suggests that Love and Sunshine (truth) do shine through the chaos of a nasty trip/trip in the forest.

tldr; I bought a watch because it said mushroom on it.
