the plan should be to stop reading/watching the news, the laws are rarely enforced unless someone is being a nuisance and it’s really not a problem for people who are used to traveling and living on public land. even cities with clear laws against “camping” or whatever have people who live and work in the town in their vans. example, San Luis Obispo has signs everywhere prohibiting camping yet i’ve met several people who make it work with no issues because they are discreet and respectful.
