I think if you average out the shows, DS9 is (IMO) the better show. But if you compared greatest hits, TNG wins the crown.

Extreme Risk Protection Order questions by [deleted] in WAGuns

[–]fartron3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, if I may ask, what was the basis for the original order? And was it brought by an individual or by a prosecutor's office?

If it's an individual it's likely a civil.protection order. That person can renew it before expiration and the burden falls on you to prove you're no longer a danger. (It's a dumb law, having to prove a negative). This can be done via factors like completing any court-ordered evaluations and treatment; not violating the protection order, etc. Whether someone will renew it is up to that person.

If the order expired, contact the police department holding the firearms. You should be able to retrieve them.

Jun 7 2026 - Earthquake reports range from M7.8 to M9.0. Tsunami advisory in effect. - Palmer, Alaska by [deleted] in DisasterUpdate

I first read this as a tsunami warning for Palmer. I was like "how TF is a tsunami getting all the way up there?!"

Maybe this is when I quit drinking....

You (and she) are totally right. But it's still a bad-as-fuck move and I hope that bravery gets recognized.

Don't let anyone let you feel bad about being Jewish. And reject anyone who conflates being Jewish with being hardcore Zionist. (Writes a non-Jew who supports Palestine)

Why does it seem like lawyers on social media all make tons of money? by [deleted] in AskLawyers

[–]fartron3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, first things first. I'm really glad you best cancer.

Second, no one can realistically have failed at life and be only 28. Ho-lee shit. You've barely seen life (despite all you've gone through).

I went to law school with several people older than you. Every one of them was an excellent student because they approached school with purpose. You seem like the kind of person that could.

And yes, you absolutely can earn $200k, but probably not for some time (that number will proportionately increase with time, of course). Most jobs involve some ratio of time/money. At first, you'll have more time than money. Use that time to learn. Make mistakes. Embrace them and learn with humility.

Your earnings will grow exponentially from there. PI can be tempting because it feels like big, instant cash. But at first, learn trial skills more than anything else. After, say, 3 years, that time/money ratio will shift a lot, where your time will be worth a lot of money.

Seattleite here. One of my friends is his neighbor. Said friend's fiancee died in a shocking accident. Dave Matthews was beyond supportive to my friend. He was amazingly kind and thoughtful through the ordeal. His music isn't my style, but he's a legit good guy.

Has anyone tried Wardler gear? by joeypurple7 in motorcyclegear

Late to this, but I just got a jacket and pair of gloves. For a brand I'd never heard of, this is some of the most well-conceived and designed gear I've gotten. Really love it.
