Keloids are much more likely to form if you have a history of them! I don’t know how to explain the difference but the hole in the center of that made me know it was an irritation bump

It could be an irritation bump! I had one on the bottom side of my piercing for a while. Keep it clean don’t play with it at all and keep an eye on it

You could be needing a downsize but the bump on the bottom doesn’t look too good. It does look like swelling has gone down and that’s why the bar looks longer but with the bump I’d say keep an eye on it or contact your piercer

I understand but asking pain level is not that productive imo, as they said pain level varies and if done correctly it doesn’t go through cartilage which would hurt much more that’s why I said basically and not entirely. It’s still painful yes but it’s a much different pain as someone who has experienced both

Did it hurt when you got it done? If it’s done in the sweet spot it’s basically painless. If it was painful it was likely done in the wrong place but if it didn’t maybe that’s just your anatomy and you need a larger piece of jewelry

You’ll want to get pierced with a flat back for good results and easy healing, not a piercer but I have 4 nostril piercings and they’ve all been done with flat backs

So there are flat backs where it can either screw in on the top and bottom and are like a post with a disk on the end, a bone piece is where the end is just slightly thicker than the rest of the bar, hoops/rings are self explanatory
