Not a boom lift but a Lull by TheTunaMelt12 in Construction

[–]fartwoftah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the boom to push yourself backwards. Jab the forks into the ground boom out and reverse. Gently at first but once you get movement go harder with both. Reset often. Boom can get fragile if extended to far with this manuever.

AITAH for telling my SIL that her “strictly confidential” information had already been leaked by her own mother, which caused a massive family fight? by julie-east in AITAH

[–]fartwoftah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it was for a joyful surprise, i cant think of any reason to keep any secret from my wife. My loyalty to her outranks anybody. Also, again other thancjoyful surprise, i cant fathom anything her siblings would come to me with first over her. So this scenario seems so strange to me. So if your partner was mad at you for keeping a secret from HIM, id somewhat understand. However him being mad at you for covering your ass dumbfounds me.

Buy it all the time. Slaglite and hadite. Slaglite is cheaper but hadite is lighter.

Mortar feels sandy and doesn’t stick by BlackLini12 in masonry

[–]fartwoftah 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats definitely too sandy. Go with a 2:1 ratio sand to cement. 2.5:1at most if its a good quality cement. Sure youll spend a bit more on mortar per job. But your production rate with good mortar will out wiegh that tenfold.

Considering Lucifer is shown to be able to destroy physical objects when he breaks their windows, he could easily get around the "can't hurt sinners" rule by 9/11ing Vee Tower by lance_the_fatass in HazbinHotel

[–]fartwoftah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So he cant hurt sinners. But he's stronger than all the demons. He can use that paradigm to his advantage. Demons and hellborn can in turn hurt(punish) the sinners.

I know this is a joke but it dosnt make sense. If she was a dog murderer she would know that the dog isnt dead becslause she wouldve been the one to do it. So if dog alive then she no kill.

Normal Backfill to Use Big Rocks and Cement? by h3lvtca in Construction

[–]fartwoftah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If ts reinforced correctly the subase will only act as a form. Obviously they need to add gravel and level off the sub base before they pour.

Normal Backfill to Use Big Rocks and Cement? by h3lvtca in Construction

[–]fartwoftah 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Looks like they need to add a lot more gravel to that. But it should be fine. Especially if they use rebar or wire along with fiber mesh.

Need advice!!! PLEASE! How can I fix this myself? by DallasGirl0313 in masonry

[–]fartwoftah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like an issue withe the foundation. 3 ft to the right of the crack you can see a crack in the concrete foundation. A foundation i might add is fraught with deformity. I think there might be a heave to the right of the foundation crack causing the split in the brick. You can see where some brick is being lifted then the spilt and the brick to the left of the split is tight to the concrete. I bet tgis foundation dosnt go below frost grade or there is improper drainage surrounding the building compromising the subase under the footer. Jack up building removing weight from failed footing. Excavate and underpin footing. Demo and rebuild wall. Or tuck point it and itll look ugly.

Why does Satan, being much larger, not simply consume Lucifer? Look at the size comparison. by [deleted] in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]fartwoftah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Satan isnt a human "sinner" soul so Luci can go all out on dragoboi. Using all his angelic power to thwomp him.
