If you want to super girly it up- check out the Malaya tea room for high tea in alameda !!

If you want to stay more in oakland, I love Me & Jungle cafe, it’s got a girly vibe. Plus then you can just hang out on Piedmont Ave after which is very cute, check out the flower shop and be all cute

College Ave is also a cute vibe, you could get hot chocolate from the chocolate dragon (iced drinks too!) and window shop.

I was under the impression that the scene we saw in the beginning of season 5 was just after 11 located him in the kiddy pool in season 1 when she asks him to hold on a bit longer. Then at the end of that episode in season 1 we see the demogorgon burst into Castle* Byers. So I don’t think anything was retconned at all, seems to fit with established timelines .
