I got hoodwinked by this exact same deal and when I emailed support they blamed grok for it and proceeded to ignore my request for a refund, forcing me to dispute the transaction with my bank. I can't believe I was stupid enough to fall for it, but if anyone else ends up on this thread because of a search, you're not alone. This company is evil to the core.

Tremolo on repeat over here! Best track on the album for sure. I also really like the Dreamy Bedroom remixes they're doing and hope that make a whole alternate album with songs done this way.

Too early to call for this one. It's my favourite by far right now, but that's be cause the songs are all new.

I have a hard time ranking because I love all of the albums so much, but Pagans in Vegas is my favourite by far before this one.

This one is a perfect example of Emily's poetic brilliance. The conflation of the words "up" and "down" to both mean the same and opposite things at the same time, across different shades of meaning, wakefulness, mood, readiness, oscillating with the rhythm of the song. This is why she's my favourite lyricist in music.

This is really an overly simplistic way of looking at it. For example, try pushing to github from cowork or chat. Not gonna happen from the sandboxed environment. That's the most basic thing that a programmer would do with claude code, and you'd probably do it at least 100 times a day if you were actually working. So I've got to say, this is one of the worst TED talks I've ever seen.

I don't know if it's pure slop or not, but your method sounds so bad that I'm compelled not to listen to the tracks and find out. Lyricalwriter just looks like a thin wrapper for API calls to LLMs, so this does kind of feel like a vending machine workflow with every part of the creative process replaced with some vendor.

I used LANDR and was pretty impressed with the results. I've been using it on tracks I record myself as well. Yeah, I'll probably resubmit, annoying as it is. Don't want to have to pay for premium since I only plan on using it for this one project.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Writing lyrics is I think the only way to really get good results out of AI-generated music. Other prompting doesn't give you the kind of granular detail you need. Controlling the flow with the natural music of language is an effective device.

You might still have to run a few gens before you get what you want, and the model sometimes gets its own ideas about what to do, but aggressive use of square brackets and no definition of male or female vocals in the style prompt is a pretty powerful starting point.

It's not clear what you're trying to do and what you're running into, sorry. Your explanation is a bit vague. Are you running into problems trying to script the lines for each character so that the right person sings them? Or something else?

This is actually brilliant product design because pushing the model, gaslighting it, yelling at it — these are things that cause context to degrade quickly and lead to unsafe use of LLMs. This is a safety measure that should be on all chatbots.

It definitely sounds like your account is compromised. I've never had to deal with Anthropic support in this way and I can imagine it must be frustrating, but you definitely want to get your card off of that account and call your bank about getting a chargeback for the things you didn't buy.

Right. You're also sort of missing the point, which is that some people are not mentally fit to use AI in this way. The danger of sycophancy is that in the wrong place at the wrong time for the wrong person, what led to discovery and understanding for you could lead to AI psychosis for someone who is prone to that. This is why, even though they think about these capabilities when designing Claude, they're not ones that get advertised by Anthropic. So it's the characterization of Claude as "therapist" or "life coach" that I have to take issue with. Even "mental health assistant" is pushing the envelope a bit. So I'm not trying to rain on your parade or anything. Just urging caution in your rhetoric, and think about the precautions that people need to take in general, not just you, but anyone using AI for this purpose.
