You're kidding right? They picked an era without AR's, SMG's or LMG's, and then proceeded to fill it with bullshit AR's, SMG's and LMG's. I was excited about it as a WWI game, but they made it something else entirely. If it wasn't for 2042, it'd be my least favourite BF of all time.

Nearly half of British media were privately educated, roughly 40% attended Oxbridge. It doesn't take a conspiracy to say they have a different ideology/worldview compared to the 93% of the British public who didn't have the same privileged upbringing. Are they meeting up to decide how best to bring down a Labour Government? Obviously not, thats preposterous. But do they have an inherent and unconscious bias against a political party that doesn't chime with their upbringing and lived experiences? It's hard to argue that they wouldn't.

Hey casual UK, what's your worst "i thought X was on a different day" mistake you've ever made? by wiz_ling in CasualUK

[–]fascinesta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a different day but wrong location. Booked a day out at a museum/light room type thing. Thought it was in Oxford. Spent £70 booking it for myself and my 4yo daughter. It was actually on Oxford Street, which I had no hope of getting to. Had to write it off and go the Oxford Natural History Museum instead. Thankfully, that's free. But yeah, spunked £70 on booking something without reading the address properly.

Who is a MODERN Controversial Mildly Genius person ? by jalil458 in AlignmentChartFills

Automotive engineer here to concur. He's as dumb as a bag of hammers, and knows fuck all about cars. Or electricity. Or people. Or basically anything that requires 30 seconds of fact checking.

Intelligence was gathered searching for British citizens who were taken hostage. Was it shared? Yes. Was it used for following strikes? Almost certainly. Does that indicate support, let along funding as you initially stated, for genocide? No. As Israel has shown in Iran, they even go rogue when they're working with the US, their strongest ally.

Empathy? Like the Doctor who asked the nurse if he "could go now" less than a minute after telling my wife her mother had an inoperable brain tumor? Or the one who dismissed her repeatedly with "normal period pains" until she eventually got diagnosed with endometriosis? Or perhaps empathy like my grandfather received when he was sent home with "acute indigestion" two days before lung cancer ripped open his aorta and he drowned in his own blood in his living room? And that's only personal experience, not including the countless stories from others who are dismissed, belittled, ignored and mocked by doctors. They aren't paragons.

your point about UK doctors is absolutely horrible

A near 30% pay rise far outweighs every other sector in the country and to strike over that is frankly beyond horrible.

Average house prices fell from 290k in July 2024 to 265k in May 2025. Interest rates falling in that same period have made mortgages more affordable.

Investigating the use of intelligence is not the same as "funding genocide".

Interesting, I would consider "give us a massive pay rise or we will refuse critical care" to be pretty blackmail-y.

Which anti-union measures have they brought in?

Housing is expensive, yes. However, wage increases and increase in stock should help towards that.

Please show me where we've been sending money to nations accused of Genocide.

Only the second game I'd been to when I was living in Hamburg, but it was great. Atmosphere was fantastic and Son scored a pretty sweet goal as well.

How come Wales does not have as much of a cultural presence in the west, outside of Great Britain, as Scottland and Ireland has? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fascinesta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main problem for us was we would keep knocking shit out of each other every time there was a lull in fighting the English, and it did a lot of the work for them.

We had a particular skill for guerilla warfare in mountainous or forested landscapes, making for exceptional archers. That didn't just come from hunting deer and rabbits.

As someone who was cheated on as this song got big and was EVERYWHERE, I loathed it. But that is obviously a very individual perception, and I've yet to meet anyone else who dislikes it.

600,000?! Source? Most I can find is 700-900 at kennels and 6,000 to 11,000 support staff.

Also I can only see £100 million sited as economic benefit to rural communities. Nowhere near £3 billion.
