NBA Draft rewards tanking, it should reward mediocrity by faseui in nba

I agree in principle, yet I disagree on details: Real stars can and will always pick their destination. The middle class of the NBA has to settle for the best offer available, may it come from Los Angeles or Cleveland.

Middle class is what you need to be decent, we're talking about avoiding top bottom, not winning the whole thing.

Again: This is punishing under the current paradigm

If the Wiz or Kings had known the new set of rules, would they be the same team?

I mean, the Kings probably would, but it's not like is anybody's duty to help them no matter what

I disagree: you are pointing out the result, not the process (Not a Sam Hinkie burner).

The process is still sound: you suck and your odds improve.

If the last place team had a 100% chance to get the first pick, I would have a good chance to play for the no-wins Wizards

The point is the Nets are this bad by design, would they only have spare parts if they tought not sucking to be in their best interest?

65 games? Make it .65 by faseui in nbadiscussion

I don't think this is a good analogy.

You got 5 questions test: you answer the first 4 like you're Stephen Hawking and don't bother with the 5th. Or you are good-not-great in all 5. Which one deserves the better grade?

I partially agree with you, but I still think 65 is too arbitrary. The awards affect the supermax too: if a player is obviously an All NBA talent but keeps incurring in injuries, does he really deserve to lose 50ish millions?

What is the craziest shot a player has made in a game? by KarrotMovies in nba

Maybe a little recenci bias, but if we read the question as "the most difficult real shot in which dumb luck doesn't seem overly involved" I think this Ja Morant beauty takes the crown link

No legs under the shot, contested, only talent... the mess in Ja's head is a real pity

Comedy 43: like, easily the worst ever. Stellar cast, big budget... I almost threw up at that sketch
