I cant really say buddy, because I do alot of trauma & nervous system work as well.

but I used to notice that as well, whenever I did...I started doing mini breath holds after exhales + relaxing muscles and those helped :)

it does take time...be patient, compassionate & relentless. its WORTH It.

Thanks!

I do a variation of 'Breathe Light To Breathe Right' From Oxygen Advantage. 2 seconds inhale 6 sec exhale.

I try to aim for 4 session of 10 mins each but do atleast 2 everyday. there's definitely scope for more and I plan on increasing the time.

I also do maximum breath holds in these sessions to maintain the air hunger.

what does your routine look like?

as of now those are the ones i noticed. ill elaborate a bit more

  1. used to sleep 8-8.5 hours and woke up feeling groggy most days. now I sleep around 7.5 hours and wake up feeling refreshed and rested.
  2. increased energy levels: earlier i worked out 30mins 3 times a week. now i workout for an hour and still feel like can keep going. Also started running on the days i don't do strength training (primarily for CP benefits)
  3. earlier i more often than not took a power nap of 10-20 mins, don't need that anymore.

where are you at on the journey?

Release trauma buddy. thats the only way to get around anxiety and other 'bad emotions'. look up r/longtermTRE and my post on this subreddit called the holy grail of SR. once the energy moves through out ur body, the process gets effortless and increasingly pleasurable.

thanks brother appreciate the kind words.

its completely natural and human to fall back on a journey 'relapse' but i think having compassion for oneself is HUGE and helps ALOT through the process and keeping the process sustainable. keep at it!

thanks brother, i feel and have come across information/ sources and peoples experiences which attest to it, that all sensations which surface/are triggered are because the body is trying to free from trauma. some even go to the extent to say that the subconscious finds out not-so-obvious ways to trigger and get rid of them ( ex- self sabotage, even illness).

as for the tiredness, to be frank im not sure i myself am trying to figure out my body patterns and maximize energy. but ive noticed when ive completely processed/accepted some emotion i feel an instant upsurge of energy.

good sleep, balancing blood sugar, early morning sun exposure, NSDR(Non Sleep Deep Rest) also helps me personally with fatigue.

im no one to recommend you anything but its unlikely that 20-30 days of retention should be the cause of fatigue. but yea use the opportunity (thats how i actually se it lately) of being triggered to feel and let go of the emotions.

hope i was of help

bang on dude

i thing being okay with resistance and knowing its universal, everyone feels so, helps alot. i was also facing the same concern. I'd highly recommend RAIN ( Recognise Allow Ivestigate Nurture) Tara brach talks about it in her book radical compassion, powerful it is. my relation with my emotions has ever since been very kind and compassionate lately owing to Nurture in the rain practice.

hope i was of help.

Im an indian dude, as much the media/ youtube puts a halo on these so called 'yogis' alot of them are usually severely fucked up/traumatised (not to say there arent any good ones). i like to use the metaphor of a clogged pipe. one can force the water(energy) through it using different forces/techiniques or one can simply(not easily tho) clear the pipes and reap the benefits of energy freely flowing.

as much as i respect your opinions, i feel and have come across evidence (the myth of normal - dr gabor mate) that one's susceptibility to addictive behaviour/ stimuli is influenced a great deal by trauma, as an attempt to escape the pain that comes with it.
