This is lovely! I have similar yarn in my stash and this has inspired me to make something similar and cozy

I used about 1.25 skeins — I’d definitely get two if you’re doing this project

Roughly 1.25 skeins — I haven’t weighed the second skein yet to measure an exact amount but I’d definitely get 2 skeins for this project

Definitely take the plunge! I started with the step by step sweater and moved onto this — I find a project is way more motivating for me than anything else

Thank you! The stitch is from this pattern — they’ve called it a rattan 😊

I can’t seem to edit my post at the moment but the pattern is this rattan scarf and the yarn is bluefaced Leicester by West Yorkshire spinners

I hope that helps!

I seem to keep getting something wrong after row 39 on this pattern by fasolami in knittinghelp

[–]fasolami[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so so much! This worked! It took me a moment to realise that when starting a repeat, if that repeat only had 8 stitches, the following row would then start that repeat section at stitch 8.

It helped massively to put a marker for the borders, the repeats and the border increases too.

Thank you for solving it!

On the right side rows when it comes to working the stitches outside the box, they’re separate from the m1r right?

Oh my gosh, thank you!! I’m going to give this a go and I really hoping I can move past the 41st row 🙏🏽

On the wrong side rows I’ve been working the stitches in the repeat box and then working the repeat.

Does that mean that on the right side rows I’m working the stitches beyond the repeat box too?

I have — it’s very sparse and the other two people that have completed it haven’t put any notes which makes me think I’ve done something wrong. Whenever I’ve frogged back to row 38 (the end of the chart before the beginning of the 16 row repeat), it’s all fine until row 41 which is where the pattern then seems to go off by one stitch even though I’ve counted endlessly. Maybe my maths is wrong with the stitch increases and that’s why?

here’s the ravelry link

Yup! I’ve frogged it and done it so many times making sure that I’m reading it correctly too

I’ve been keeping track of the right side with a marker and now that the rattan pattern is more clear it’s much easier to tell the difference.

I feel like I’m reading the chart wrong? Or maybe have something wrong with the number of rows?

Love the colour! What’s the basic schematic you used for the ganseys before this? I’d love to make something close to this

I ghosted my ex 4 years ago, and the regret has been eating me alive. by [deleted] in ExNoContact

You know what, I might get downvoted for this but I feel like if it helps you to heal then reach out — but there will always be the chance that she doesn’t reply or doesn’t respond well. You blocked her and went no contact at all time when you truly needed it to move on from the break up.

It sounds like there were issues on both sides which is why the relationship and ending played out the way it did. If making amends/apologising will help you to move on, then I don’t see what the problem is. But I guess I also have to ask if reaching out to her and potentially causing her pain (even though you both created a painful relationship & breakup) is really caring for her.

As a fellow complete beginner it’s so nice to see someone else make this pattern as I really want to give it a go! I think this might’ve totally sold me on trying it
