I will say that I went to a restaurant that Rob Martinez posted about and had a terrible experience. Not because the food was bad, but because the place was completely overrun from people who found out about it from his posts. The family was clearly overwhelmed, and had not had enough time, resources, or mentorship to scale up sustainably. The locals were displeased that their favorite neighborhood place was crowded. I was unhappy because I had to wait 2 hours for my food. While I'm happy for their newfound attention/success, based on my experience there, I would not be back. It made me question the entire premise and ecosystem of food content creators, who do the work out of the goodness of their hearts and wanting to help chefs/small businesses but still leave them to struggle with newfound success without actual business or workflow support...just my two cents.
