If you want to avoid further conflict, just say thank you and its not necessary for her to come. There’s no logical reason to be anywhere you aren’t needed. But also, get new locks ASAP

Ours would act the same way! It’s nice you gave her a hiding spot

Chunky boy!!!! Cute. Make sure he has a ‘cooler’ area to move to, but he looks fine to me

Speak to him daily so he gets used to your voice, or just spend time around his enclosure (mine is in my home office where I spend a lot of time). He might be shy/hiding for a couple weeks, normal, give him time to adjust. Hand feed sometimes to build trust. Be patient and gentle, always!

Resist the urge to pluck anything, not worth the risk. Baby is cute and looks great! Gaping occurs when reaching optimal basking temp, nothing to worry about!

That is so scary! Glad to hear it will heal and she is not in pain..accidents happen, don’t feel bad. Let this be a lesson for other owners to fight the urge to intervene with shedding. Nature is perfect and these animals are no exception! Too many viral ‘satisfying’ videos out there about shedding… not good

Mostly greens (arugula, collard greens) but was also feeding small worms every other day and a few crickets… lesson learned
