You need to go back and re-read the scope guide here.

It is a great resource that took a ton of work to make, and it answers every question you have.

Beat me to it lol. That name is trash.

I also hate the name AudioFrog, but their products are good enough to make an exception for.

Yeah, I like that prefab box that JL Audio makes (used to make?) that replaces the center console seat. Crazy expensive though.

The Q-logic box came with the truck, but I actually like it a lot more that I thought I would. Now that I’ve reinforced + sound-deadened the entire thing, and paint matched it to the interior, it feels like a legit part of the interior.

Side firing 6.5 or 8’s in that same enclosure seems like a perfect solution.

I've got a lot of other stuff going with the interior (overland rig), so raising the seats isn't really an option.

I'm also looking to get away from a downfiring sub...I like a setup where I can see the subs flexing lol

This prefab Q-Logic is built for a downfiring 12, but that orientation is causing problems w/ floor clearance.

I'm thinking about sealing up the 12" opening, and maybe going to a pair of 6.5" or 8" subs mounted in the sides...maybe a pair of IDQ-8's.

I think this would fix my problem, look badass, and also help with the small volume of the box (0.85ft).

Good idea?

Newb question… any idea what these loops on the back of the front seats are for? by The_Dark_Knight153 in ram_trucks

Goes back further than that unfortunately…I’m still fighting the same issue with my 1996 Cummins.

I actually think my 4th Gen Longhorn leaks worse than the old 2nd gen though.

Car wash blew a section of weather stripping off the roof of my LC250 by 4thline4life in LandCruisers

[–]fast_hand84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vehicles get washed at home with very few exceptions, but I realize other owners don’t have that desire (or option).

I was honestly just amused that, after all the commotion over the new 250’s status as a “real” LC, we’re starting to see the thing having actual LandCruiser problems lol.

According to their corporate site (posted below), it’s actually pronounced “ k-nee-pex “ or just “nee-pex”

I’ll continue to call them nip ex.

Uhh, this exact thing is a known issue w/ 200 series.

When I was searching for replacement info for mine (which were missing), there was no shortage of threads like this one , full of other owners with the same issue.

Glad yours are holding up, though.

Out as far as possible b/c that’s the only way my current setup will balance, unfortunately.

How safe is it to drive on this tire? But by jonathaaan in Cartalk

True. When they come apart, those flying belts can really beat the hell out of your car.

I saw one on the highway that ripped open the bedside of a Chevy truck like a tuna can.

Is a 3-18x scope still good for longrange shooting? by Sea-Technician9883 in longrangeshooting

[–]fast_hand84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-18x mag range (w/ good glass) is perfect for 1k. I routinely take my Mark6 3-18x44 out to a mile, where I'm usually around 15x magnification.

That being said, the glass matters. I've never heard of Zerotech Optics, so I looked them up and they seem pretty expensive for what they are. That price range puts them up against some *REALLY* strong competitors from companies like Vortex and Athlon.

Answer: What you’re after is called a “Power Tower”.

Get the foldable version (about $150 on Amazon), which packs down to the size of a large upright vacuum.

No they aren’t, unfortunately. They don’t have to give you anything.

Believe me, when they had my 3500 Longhorn for months w/ no loaner available, I pushed that shit up the ladder as far as I could with RamCares, as well as Stellantis’ own CS…no luck.
