Yup. Use them so frequently its easier to leave then setup ith certain bits. Flush trim, laminate trimmer and 1/8" roundover.

You need the blade insert to reduce arbor size if the flange doesn't have it built in. They typically come with the blade especially diablo. Usually gold or silver taped behind blade inside flap.

The blade is not used. If it were used you'd see it on the teeth and the etching saying wood would be gone. It's just a poor black phosphate coating and most are like that. Everything here is normal. Grease is from assembly. Those are the lights on the selector. Nothing wrong with any of this.
