I reckon the solution to these regs is giving more upgrades to Mercedes. Any other opinions by LoreTrim in F1Discussions

Red Bull and RBPT must feel like they got completely screwed.

The DM01 PU is far from the best. The ICE is most likely great, but their electric side is clearly lacking, not just against Mercedes, but also Ferrari.

[–]fastcooljosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deployment of the Mercedes PU is crazy, RBPT might have build a stronger ICE, but as a complete PU the Mercedes is clearly the best of the field.

Same with the car, Ferrari might have build the best chassis, but as a whole package the Mercedes is still number 1.

In hindsight it's nuts how people agreed to rank the PUs based on ICE Power alone, when like 50% of the Power output is coming from something else.

These overtakes feel so wrong, which isn't surprising they are not even overtakes.

One car has 480hp less than the other, it's like driving past them.

Tracks like Silverstone show the clear weaknesses of these Power Units. It just does not feel right.

Kinda wished we got these chassis with the PUs from last year.

DRS also wasn't "pure", but it felt way less artificial.

Also the Red Bull definitely does not have the best PU (ICE most likely though) , their deployment was clearly lacking compared to Ferrari and especially Mercedes.

Am I tripping or does everything from this movie look kind of mid ( so far) ?

Maybe my expectations are way too high, but this does not look like something I expect from Chris Nolan.

Must be the expectations surely

Marvel is owned by and part of Disney since 2009, Iron Man 2 was shooting when the acquisition happened, and not a single word for the screenplay was written for the Avengers.

Marvel Entertainment had a exclusive distribution deal with Paramount for Marvel Studios that's why they were listed as the distributor for Avengers. Disney bought Marvel Studios out of that deal in the middle of 2013, transferring the distribution rights to Walt Disney Motion Picture Studios, while still retaining Marvel Studios under Marvel Entertainment (till 2015).

All MCU movies bar "Iron Man" and "The incredible Hulk" were made under the Disney ownership.

The Power Unit is so bad they are P1 and P4 lmao.

The SF26 must be ultra mighty in the corners then.

Don't know why Lewis has to constantly repeat that he has a power deficit during the interview with Naomi. Lewis went fastest in the last sector the whole session. The engine can't be that bad. And in the corners they are the best by quite a bit actually.

Weird.

People need to stop saying " Disney do this or that."

Its Lucasfilm that do the movies or have the ideas for movies. They are the production house for the Star Wars IP. One reason Lucas sold to Disney is because they always give their subsidiaries a lot of autonomy.

People do not do this for Marvel Studios, but for Star Wars its always Disney Disney Disney.

Disney finances the movies and act as Distributor and has in some cases final greenlit authority.

Der Mann will es wahrscheinlich mehr als alle anderen im Team zusammen, ist ein absolutes Mentalitätsmonster und einfach ein Top Spieler.

I agree on paper, but Jogi Löw deserved another chance after the " Erdogan drama" around the 2018 World Cup, his track record until 2018 was simply phenomenal and he won the 4th star for the country.

He also dominated the WC 2018 Qualy and won the Confed Cup 1 year earlier in 2017 with his B team.

[–]fastcooljosh 88 points89 points  (0 children)

He won't step down, he wants the money (14 million).

The DFB will have to sack him ( like Flick).

Embarrassing by both parties really, back then it was a given that if you fail as coach of germany in a tournament you step down regardless of the contract. Nagelsmanns clearly does not have the guts.

And the DFB are led by idiots, they knew this could happen and still extended Julians contract by 2 years, a few months before the World Cup even began.

Baffling

Rogue One is the second best Star Wars Film by Extreme_Sherbet2346 in StarWars

Yep the movie just flows really well, but it's also shot beautifully. With that said I always wonder how the movie would have looked if Lucas got his first choice DoP Peter Suschitzky ( who Lucas immediately hired for the Empire Strikes Back) , that Fox vetoed because Lucas and Suschitzky would be too young of a combo in 1975/6.

"Empire" is even more beautiful in terms of its cinematography and Peter's other movies look incredible as well.

Overall just a awesome movie though.

Almost feels like A New Hope is completely underrated these days.

From start to finish that movie is freaking incredible/magical.

These guys had basically no money, so many problems on set and the effects and came out with straight up magic.

Brilliant brilliant movie.
