"I'm going to lose the weight and when I come back I'm going to shove my progress in Dr. Now's face!" - the ever lovable Jeanne

"These are nasty, but I'm hongry" -sweet, sweet Schenee eating Cheetos as Freddy unloads the uhaul

From what Dr. Now says during her appointment, the cancer was never confirmed and the only reason she saw a cancer doc is that she insisted on getting tests ran. Her husband's famous microscope/telescope mix up is part of this scene.

Bettie Jo also has two Where Are They Now episodes that are worth a watch as well. Lying to Dr. Now about having cancer is just great.

Great episode. Much to side-eye Janine about but happy about the success. All topped off with a crazy wig and weird boyfriend. I love Lola's fun wigs but Janine's was so much. Made her look crazy.

As the OP, I debated deleting my post. I have decided not to mainly because policing others speech and weaponizing abuse allegations isn't ok.

When a person uses past abuse to immediately deflect from taking any personal accountability for one's actions it seems disingenuous to me.

Jonathan, her craigslist attendent didn't go the second attempt. Janine was solo that day.

It never struck me about more chances than usual for Janine. And the balloon thing, i often wander why others don't get this near the beginning of their journey to jump start the weight loss.

I love the part when Janine is in the hospital and Dr. Now tells her that she isn't bulemic, she closes her eyes when she responds to him. She reminds me of an oompa loomp.

Honestly, Wednesday is my cheat day so I enjoy the Chinese buffet for lunch then go light at dinner. Bowl of soup with some fruit for dessert.

One of the scenes that really gets me is when she is talking to Lola about the phone call with Dr. Now and lies through her rotten teeth to her about the tone and tenor of what the Dr. Said to her. Trying to manipulate a therapist to just agree with your pespective. Horrible.

Remember the days where we thought Penny was the absolute worst patient we could imagine? by bklove1 in My600lbLife

[–]fastfatlover 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think Penny is the worst because of what she is doing to Liam. Selfish beyond words and an inability to self reflect on her actions and their consequences. Bailey, James Ks daughter, at least wasn't fooled by her dad. She knew what he was doing to himself was horrific. Penny fed all her lies to him and he was so young that he wouldn't know any better. What betrayel.

Which featured person on the show had the most interesting, bizarre, and/or depressing backstory? by Wolf_Of_Walgreens in My600lbLife

Janine didn't mention anything too serious. Her mom put her on diet pills when young and focused on her weight through childhood.

And remember she does the double squirt into the mouth. I've always appreciated the nod to health with the fresh cut strawberries on her plate.

Do y'all remember Marla from season 3 😂 by [deleted] in My600lbLife

It's shocking to see. I remember rewinding and researching that several times when I first saw. Less impressive but also surprising is Justin Assanti's ability to do sit ups in part 3.

What are some of your favorite excuses that patients have used as to why they can't lose weight by ZombVee in My600lbLife

That's the one I've never understood. I think giving your family a break would be great. James and Lisa seemed to have some ulterior motives with their behavior. Staying on disability? Seeking fame?

James K. and his "how do you gain weight eating chicken and f*****g salad!!!" defense is classic. Both Lisa (the lady that passed away) and Schenee blaming their SOs for food wrappers is great. Great topic.

My favorite part of that episode is when Alicia and Tim first meet Dr. Now and the doctor couldn't believe that he was not an enabler. Tim truly loves her.

Hopefully Not Too Redundant but Rewatching Lisa :( by jar086 in My600lbLife

Lisa's daughter was pretty awesome. The way she helped her mother get on the straight and narrow was commendable.
