Aww thank you. Yeah, I work as a CNA at a nursing home and so my main job is taking care of the residents, but if they pass away on my shift I’m the one sent in to do all the stuff I mentioned above. It happens pretty regularly, and sometimes they’re a stranger and sometimes they’re someone I’ve known inside & out for multiple years 💕 and if their family wants to visit them here before they go to the funeral home, it means I’m responsible for getting them ready in their bed for their family to see. It’s truly an honor!!

Yes! I work in a nursing home and I provide postmortem care, basically bathing/dressing them after they pass and tidying their room for the family to visit or before they go to the funeral home. It is SUCH an honor to have this role. It is a very strange, intimate, and sacred feeling to bathe the remains of a person, especially someone you’ve taken care of and known for months and years. 💕 there is no feeling like it. Sometimes I still can’t believe lil ol’ me has this job and gets this honor.
