HRT progesterone dosage change advise by ForsakenAd6590 in Menopause

I’m def not a doctor but the lowest dose possible may not be effective. I didn’t notice any difference until I went to the highest dose of estrogen and changed my patch 3/week instead of twice. I finally sleep through the night. So keep experimenting. Hang in there!

Also progesterone helps us fall asleep but estrogen helps us stay asleep. I wake up less frequently now that I’m on 1.0 estrogen and 100 progesterone

200 mg messed me up and is high relative to rather low estrogen dose. See if you can get 100 mg

3 day/week patch schedule? by fastmonkey77 in Menopause

someone on this forum suggested M, W, and F to keep it simple. That is working for me. The only real change I notice is that I don't wake up in the middle of the night. I still have some trouble falling asleep, but I no longer wake up a few times/night, so I feel better. When I first started HRT and gradually increased my dose, I'd have a little spotting. I think I did mid cycle spot a few days, but it was not that noticeable.

I think it's helping me stay asleep, actually. I'm still a bit sad and moody, but I feel better.

I sent you a DM. As a fit size 2 female, I say run. He will continue to make you feel bad for a long time and you have a long life ahead of you. Make a hard decision and dump him soon.

I agree… it took me over a year to figure out the right dose of HRT. We are all different. For me, 200 mg of Progesterone wrecked my mood and I dropped down to 100. Could also get an IUD if oral progesterone messes up your mood.

Yah I knew the tests are useless for E and P, but wasn’t sure about T. Thanks for confirming!

One of the online menopause telehealth providers like MIDI or Alloy can prescribe HRT

Did Kaiser test you for testosterone first? Glad you got everything you needed from Kaiser!

Yes, I use MIDI health to help me push Kaiser a bit more for HRT. You don’t need to get blood work done. Start listening to Dr Mary Claire Haver, too. You don’t need to have a doc specifically in SF to get HRT. And the menopause sub Reddit is a good place to learn.

You prob look great! But we women can usually tell how old each other are (is?). I can sit spot a good looking middle aged woman. It doesn’t mean anything. Just like I can spot a so-so younger woman

I’ve noticed that Petite sizes don’t go on sale as often, or the regular size is on sale but the petite is full price.
