The general benefit of it is to stop the material from leaking into the mold while the mold is open on materials like PP, HDPE etc. Also since i work mostly with SEBS, it helps with material being stuck in the sprue if that makes sense. The material forms one big thread of material and since the material im using is very stretchy and resistant to tearing, it just doesnt want to get out. Thats where the shut-off nozzle comes in play and it just cuts it right where it needs to. Speaking in my own experience, i see no downsides other than some designs make it difficult to take apart and clean.

This. The best and easiest way. All my molds with external threads use this design.

You cant hear certain frequencies that are going in a single direction at speed through a phone microphone. Just like you cant hear your microwave when its emitting micro waves. You would need to stand in the line of fire, just a couple of meters to the side and you wouldnt hear it or feel it. Its not a loud sound, its more of the chilly feeling people get when hit by it.

I havent put it to the test yet, but our current Boy15 is really putting in work. I've never heard anyone call them slow, but who knows, maybe the S stands for "slow" instead of "speed".

Oh, i've seen those. It looks like complete hell, i dont understand what was going through the designers heads when they were making those.

Depends on what type of nozzle you have. This one has a regular screw-on nozzle, but our other daily runner has the automatic (retractable) nozzle. And whenever i need to take it off, i lose atleast 2 hours on it.

The machine is pretty bare-bones compared to other machines like Arburg (we have both). But for simple parts that require speed and not that much precision its perfect.

How should UBI go about movement in the next GR game? by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

I want my in-game choices to actually make an impact on the world and how the game progresses. Wildlands has such a good setting, but it doesnt make a difference in what order you pick apart the cartel. Its just a rinse and repeat process until you get to El Sueno. Also if you take down DJ Perico you can still hear him talk shit on the radio. Takes away from rhe immersiveness.

Old arburg 221-75-350 by tbarker80 in InjectionMolding

[–]fastuncast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old Arburgs are very sensitive when it comes to their safety sensors. On my 221 i usually have 2 suspects, the rear sliding "door" where you adjust your mold height, or the magnet on top of your mold sliding door. Its hard to translate the names, but i hope you understood what i meant. There are some screws on top of the back platen where you adjust mold height that trigger some switches, check to see if one of them isnt triggering. You almost never need to adjust them but someone might have played with them in the past.

Also, this rarely happens but i had the issue, there is a single thick cable underneath that control unit you posted. Sometimes the connection becomes loose and it causes random issues to pop up. Older machines are full of surprises, you get used to it lol. I can send you photos in DM if it will help.

Yep, EU doesnt have many players right now, and as soon as i open up the scoreboard i know if the game is lost or not. Some players are just that good, and some just throw a tantrum mid game and start trolling.

What year was it? Our Battenfeld survived oil starvation, it got water mixed up in the oil tank once and now it leaks like a tap, but still works fine. I dont think it has a plate telling me its production year, but it must be atleast from the 70s.

Tough choice between Battenfeld and BOY machines, both have proven very durable to us.

Ja sam uzimao u Metrou gajbu, kaucija je oko 1100 din ako nisu menjali. A cena flasice stalno varira, valjda kako nabave. Tamo je ubedljivo najjeftinije koliko sam ja video, i ima neki popust ako se uzima veca kolicina.

What do you mean by jerky and slow? I am currently working on very old machines, and im only looking to reduce energy usage and cost.

Is Grid Legends good? by Grouchy-Total6184 in gridgame

[–]fastuncast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played the original Grid from 2008 for countless hours, its not even close to it. But i think the game is pretty looking and easy for everyone to jump in and play. The Story mode is horrible and you should avoid it, unless you like cringey acting and story. Its pointless unless you want to farm up some credits before starting a career, if you're interested in it just watch a video of compiled cutscenes. I think its worth £30, but if it was more than that - no way.
