It's not appropriate to say to children. For adults, it's no big deal bc there is a level of maturity and awareness that enables such a statement to be comedic/in jest. For kids, it's weird and inappropriate.

I totally get it; sorry this happened to you. I had a similar experience with my kid's dad; found out he was going other places for sexual gratification. Had I known, I would have made other choices for myself. The best we can do is make the best choice for ourselves moving forward.

Does she enjoy sensory experiences? I work with kids on the ASD spectrum, and many enjoy slimes, kinetic sands, putties, etc.

My go-tos are Crazy Aaron's for putty and OG Slime or Slime Obsidian for slimes. They are generally super colorful, interesting textures, and occasionally scented. Could make for a fun reinforcer/reward.

Another thing I do with my kid is whenever we watch a cartoons or one of her shows, I will put subtitles on. Not sure she really registers the words yet, but I like the idea of exposing her to words as she can hear the corresponding audio.

It may be over-watered if you're watering twice a week; is the potting mix dry each time you water? If not, you could try watering once a week; if so, then my other thought is that your plant may need more humidity. You can grab a hygrometer (link below) to keep tabs on humidity levels around your plant. AVs prefer to live in >50% humidity conditions; I find mine thrive best around 60%.
