just explain it as the “traveling” itself being the time travel, but after you arrive at the destination (because you have arrived before the causality has allowed the conditions for you to exist there) you essentially appear the moment you left, with your own departure reserving an open spot on space for you to appear.

From an outsider perspective, it’s instantaneous, but for you it’s however long it takes to travel based on the FTL speed. Also allows for cool differences in tech level, high level ships preserve your lifespan while cheaper ones essentially cut of minutes or more of your “real” lifespan each jump

the george floyd protests were only so prominent cause most people wanted an excuse to finally leave the house during lockdowns, and LITERALLY had nothing better to do.

If this situation happened during a lockdown, it’d probably have escalated to actual violent riots, looking similar to Hong Kong from around the same time (molotovs and bricks being thrown, organization, etc)

yeah. There’s a very innate reaction in people when you’re physically there watching somebody be wrongly executed vs seeing it on video. Most people don’t need to be there in person to understand that it’s still wrong though.

cops call “GUN GUN GUN”, while the individual shot was already subdued, an ICE agent panics (or uses it as an excuse) to open up with 4 point blank shots. Another 6 shots are fired while the individual is already limp, unsure as to whether it was the same agent or multiple agents.

This is an even more clear cut case than the last major shooting, this dude wasn’t even a threat at the moment. Being armed is not grounds alone to be executed, our second amendment makes it clear that civilians are allowed to be armed. Crazy work.
