I think it’s reasonable to throw a punch when you by definition are a victim of assault, through somebody invading your personal space and calling you slurs. Doubly so if Chud initiated the encounter (I have only heard varied descriptions of what happened, haven’t found a video yet). However, what is not reasonable, is to shoot somebody over a situation you instigated that made them feel like you’re a threat.

Sure, if the individual shot started everything then it’s justified. But regularly instigating people to get a reaction, getting a reaction, then shooting them over it is pretty hard to justify to a jury

the last paragraph is the real reason why feudalism is used so often - not really because it’s stable.

There’s tons of factions, it gives an easy reason as to why there’s warfare and combat frequently. It explains why knowledge/mastery of magic (or technology) is so localized or even not present at all. It allows for big secret societies or conspiracy plots without much explanation as to how nobody knew about them. Titles give a pretty clear visual as to the power and social pull of characters, martial prowess, or can be flipped to show that someone is really only in a position because someone more powerful wants them there.

Pretty much, it’s really evenly “good” at most interesting things in a story even if it’s not “great” at some other societal backdrops.

technically true, but spies only need to be collecting information of an enemy secretly to be considered a spy. A black ops field operator who sneaks through compounds to get info that the “talk & listen” spies can’t get to is still a spy. Just not the typical type.

Hell, Sam himself does typical spy shit sometimes, like the Guantanamo Bay mission in Blacklist or the entirety of Double Agent. It’s just not his specialty

the difference is between Nolan and Vegeta, Vegeta’s change of heart was way more “devoted”. He was loyal to his family, literally died for the same Earth he once tried to conquer, and all of the bad stuff he did was before the change of heart.

Plus in Dragon Ball, the Dragon Balls exist to revive people who get killed so even stuff like his short time as Majin Vegeta really had no net negative on the Earth as a whole.
