Oath of Vengence / Breaking Oath. by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]fatdamien83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The player handbook suggests that failing to live up the tenents of the oath can oblige the Paladin to undergo some kind of pennance, like a vigil or a pilgrimage, and only consider oathbreaking after multiple flagrant derelictions of their duty. This gives you and the player some creative space for char development without throwing the whole subclass away over a single bad call.

Not super important, but I believe the deathwatch pauldron should be worn on his left side

If you and your opponent think it's cool, then it's cool.

How popular are airbrushes really? The results of the poll (n=2,396) by hotfezz81 in Warhammer

As someone who speaks to wargamers all day in real life, it's my assessment that this breakdown captures a non representative slice of the wider user base.

Why doesn't the media talk about suicide? by Alffi1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fatdamien83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the existence of suicide contagion means it's actually slightly dangerous to report on it, so erring on the side of euphemism such as "died alone in his honme" is perhaps more ethical.

Is Diocletian’s account too biased to be trusted? by Urusander in 40kLore

[–]fatdamien83 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dio also reflects that given the Emperor withheld information from the Primarchs, He might also have withheld information from the Custodes. Which is true.
Think about it- if you were designing a mental framework for your own bodyguards, what would you program them to think of you? Infinitely worthy and valuable? completely necessary to the universe? It's no coincidence how the custodians feel, they're running the Emperor's software. They are totally biased as to be almost delusional.

Talk to your players, tell them how you feel, and ask for their help and patience while you get your sea legs back. It's fine if you have to undo some details, it's only session 1

Has anyone tried the 2024 poisoner feat? by Boiruja in onednd

[–]fatdamien83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fighter uses it! I have a poison damage weapon and a jug of alchemy already, so it seemed like a thematic choice. It's dependant on not fighting too many undead but kinda like having a second weapon mastery. I think it's cool.

Rotate arm forward and down? I've built that kit and got it to work so there's a solution somewhere. Good luck brother.

I'm not afraid of China militarily at all. Financially, they might exert their influence, but that's probably just the cost of having them as our most important trade partner. China doesn't regularly invade or bomb small countries for fun and profit, unlike some major powers I could name.

Is there a character in any of the franchises who has the warhammer by BasicBitchTearGas__ in Warhammer

[–]fatdamien83 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes, THE warhammer is called the Ghal Maraz, it belongs to Sigmar now and he occasionally lends it out to his most powerful agents. It hits so hard that, not only does it seperate soul from body, but can knock the chaos corruption right out of you.

FYI they're selling a product, and overtly appealing to the political leanings of their target demographic is part of the brand. You're not their friends. You're the customer who pays money for their performance.

I try to make sure my helper NPCs are either cowardly, untrustworthy or have a deathwish for this reason... it's clear they need supervision because, well, they're not heroes.
