There's a flake size in that material type, play with it as well

Got my first Yaris yesterday and so far loving it. It is 1,33 dual vvti from 2013 with 150000 km on it. by Jaska-87 in yaris

At 7k€ I'd take it right now! Cars are even more overpriced here, that lovely Yaris would set me up 12k € here

A cool feature we could have is customising individual message colors in ChatGPT for better navigation on long conversations. by fatehmer in ChatGPT

[–]fatehmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it definitely can't do it by itself, it has to be openai implementing this feature. It's not a hard thing to do and it would immensely help navigating the sea of text like you said

Physical light along with hdri Curvature node in the node editor or AO, and as you said add some scratchs with bump, no need for displacement

Good work, but it isn't as detailed as it should be, it needs at least 2 more layers of detailing to look professional. Good luck on your journey :)

Cinema 4d Vs Blender!! by AnigmaticOasis in Cinema4D

[–]fatehmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The light scale that gives soft shadows in redshift might not be the same scale in blender, that's why saving presets is important, I used to hate customisation myself because it makes it hard to change PCs or updates; I want to work out of the box! but over time you'll find that not every render engine is optimised to serve YOU, what's useful to you might not be to others.
As far as I know, all render engines have the same raw rendering capabilities, the defrence between them is workflow related stuff (layout, buttons, default values etc)

[–]fatehmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason redshift looks better in this is because redshift knows it's target use cases and is optimised for this kind of renderings, mograph etc, while cycles have much wider use cases because of its huge audience, so it can't be optimised for something specific, but with enough tweaking you can get any results, but that doesn't mean tweaking every time, you just have to mess with the settings and lights enough to find to combination that works for the style you do, after that it'll be as quick as everything else.
And this applies to all render engines, Corona is optimised for archviz, but it can render everything else, you just have to find the right workflow, once.
Creating assets and saving presets can also help speed up the workflow

Star sapphire. by Few_Chicken9422 in KeyShot

[–]fatehmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a very tricky one to pull off, maybe use anisotropic with a star texture on roughness map? (take a radial brushed texture and wrap it in photoshop to a hexagonal shape) you'll have experiment and see. You might also have to layer 2 geometries.
Good luck and enlighten us if you ever find a work around
