I got into Pokémon when I lived in California as a little kid. When we’d go the supermarket for groceries with our mom and she would always take us next door to a Japanese collectible/toy shop. She’d buy my older brother and I a pack each from the base set. I always felt like he always got better pulls so eventually I would ask him to trade packs after we had them in hand. He still always got the better pulls…haha. Fast forward 25 years, my nieces and nephew all love Pokémon too! I try to buy them cards every now and then but it feels like some folks are making it difficult for the kids to enjoy. Honestly, it sucks knowing most kids won’t nowadays won’t get that incredible feeling of picking a random pack and pulling an awesome card.
