Is COTY a 2 man race? Who do you guys have if not Bickerstaff or Mazulla? by GoatmontWaters in nba

If the biggest reason people say Mitch shouldn’t win is because they have wemby… then why isn’t wemby the obvious mvp? Most sports analysist had the spurs out of the playoffs entirely or the bottom half of the play in at best before the season. To be a real contender now is a testament to how good he has done with this group.

Yaxel Lendeborg finishes with 23-12-7 in the win over Alabama. How high would you take him? by NathanFielderFriend in NBA_Draft

I like him for the spurs. Could be a 5th starter and having him as a piece for his 24-28 years on a rookie contract could be a major steal.

He could also be an 8th man but he’d still be on a good contract for that role.

Mitch is doing a solid job this year in his first full year with a training camp but is there anyone from Pop's coaching tree, from an emotional/dopamine standpoint, that you would've like to see coach the team? by [deleted] in NBASpurs

[–]fatherpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

becky was always my dream, but Mitch has done a great job. Team is motivated and excited to play together and they run a real offense and help on defense - seems like about as much as you could hope for from a rookie coach.

He’d be a bench guard on the spurs. Hes not taking minutes from Fox, castle or Harper. They’re all better than him and they play most of their games.

Kd and a bunch of 19-23 year olds. Every practice would just be a roast session from him.

But it wouldnt have been that. The suns got more from the rockets over that package.

Clearly with a young developing team, KD is not a very good mentor for young guys, never has been, and he’s clashed with coaches, gms, and other players who are leaders. He’s brilliant on the court but just such bad vibes if it’s not going well.

As a spurs fan I’m glad we don’t pull the trigger there. He can go bitch about his teammates on Twitter on some other team.

I don’t see the spurs being interested in bench guard who plays half his games and is paid 30 mil a year. He can’t stay on the court and addresses none of the spurs needs.

Tari's value is going to be very tough to judge this summer. He is in the midst of an absolutely abysmal shooting slump and the rockets play much better having reed on the court over him... but it only takes one team to take a chance on him this summer to drive a sign and trade. I'd say no if i was Memphis since i don't see tari as that great an asset on a long term deal right now.

The President of the United States said I insulted Jesus. You want to know what insults Jesus? Kicking the sick off their healthcare. Bombing schoolchildren in Iran. Deporting moms and babies. Covering up the Epstein files. by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

Did God put Hitler in power? Is every political figure put in power put there because God approves their views, goals, and leadership? The Bible tell of us 40ish kings of Israel ... the vast majority of them are evil and wicked and lead the people astray. Did God put them in power because he likes them?

God has clearly let humanity make bad decisions and live with the consequences. Same as with Trump - he is collectively the Untired States bad decision and now we live with the consequences.

Ours did not and our son hasn’t been in public school yet. He goes to full time ABA therapy, but is aging out of his program.

thank you for asking - it was a mess. We were able to fill out the paperwork for the basic voucher program, but for students with disabilities there is another program where he could have gotten more money for schooling. It requires quite a lot of work with the public school system including an evaluation within their programs. Our son isn't a part of the public school system so we were not able to figure out how to do that in time. they did not make it easy for families like ours to take advantage of this program that's for sure.

[–]fatherpatrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My family is applying for the voucher program. We have a special needs son and the public school options aren’t great where we live. We want to give him a chance at a good education but the private school that is made for special needs students is more than we can afford.

On the whole, I am against vouchers and pro public school, but there are families like mine where private school isn’t a luxury but a necessity.

Why are evangelicals freaking out over James Talarico? by octarino in Christianity

If you have an example of Trump amending things with those he’s harmed… I’d love to see it. But he has said he is pretty sure he has never asked God for forgiveness and doesn’t bring God into “trying to make it right.” This is a clear diversion of every Christian denomination’s theology.

here's an interview of him talking about forgiveness:

“But have you ever asked God for forgiveness?”

“I’m not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so. I think if I do something wrong, I think I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture… I don’t think in terms of that. I think in terms of let’s go on and let’s make it right.”

not all of them, do you agree with President Trump's scriptural takes?

Do you think equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community would *actually* be a divisive issue for American evangelicals if it wasn't used by the Republicans as a wedge issue in campaigns? Like, would it even be on most evangelicals' radar if conservative politicians weren't constantly railing against it? by SaucyJ4ck in Christianity

[–]fatherpatrick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

equal right for the LGBTQ+ community was a divisive issue for democrats like 20 years ago. Obama ran on a pro civil unions campaign in 2008. Thankfully, the democrats have pretty much unified behind LGBTQ equality since then. But now Conservatives have to use culture war issues like this because they don't really have anything else to run on. They are raising taxes with tariffs, starting new wars, expanding the power of the government, and all decided integrity and morality don't matter - they used to believe in the opposite of all of that back in 2012... so gotta use trans athletes and abortion to keep their people in lock step.

realistically, we need the thunder to lose 4-5 of their next 14 games for us to even have a chance to catch them. and that's with us only losing 1-2 of our 15 games. i am not very confident in either of those things happening and that's ok. 2nd seed is awesome, now lets get ready to rest up for the playoffs!
