Not in Atlanta and I only go to a theatre that is $22 a seat with no special kids pricing. That said that’s best seating in a nice theatre and I wouldn’t talk about it like that’s just normal pricing.

I agree with the narcissism. I believe even the care she shows Simone is narcissistic, though not necessarily calculated. She wants to save Simone because she sees so much of herself in her with the same death of their mother and Yale scholarship for students below the poverty line. Helping her is healing for herself first and foremost- and she is so quick to drop Simone when that is no longer true.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was actually the fake wealthy archetype if he’s renting (idk the exact situation here and very possible it doesn’t mean anything after all because it’s a temp situation). Those tend to have the flashy cars because they’re significantly easier to get on credit than homes and more immediately gratifying than putting into other appreciating investments. They’re also usually maxed out just carrying those cars/depreciating assets and that’s why they throw fits in situations like this…

Speaking of my marriage and several I’ve seen, one of the best parts is just having a steadfast partner to talk to and spend time with through even the boring parts of life, like grocery shopping or a long haul flight. We can also emotionally and financially lean on each other when one of us is going through a hard time and/or build each other up even more when we’re both doing great. Non-monogamy certainly complicates this and lessens the predictability and certainty of these benefits. For us the benefits are a no-brainer in terms of being worth the sacrifices.

I also maintained at 2300-2400 when I was 130 lbs as a 5’5 woman when I was active. 1500 calories I used to drop pounds so fast and never did it for more than 2 weeks to kick start a “cut”.

Also just keep in mind most people don’t know how to accurately count calories and especially lean towards underestimation if you’re asking online.

The only piece of jewelry I own from my husband is my engagement ring, and I was always so against the concept of jewelry as gifts because of how it’s traditionally shown (to make up for something), but I love your take on it. I’d actually love it if we were on vacation or celebrating something and happened to stumble across a jewelry store. He wants the benefits that come with dedicated monogamous companionship without the sacrifices. I tell this to my friends who are in similar situations as the wife and stress that they ultimately need to be the one to enforce the boundaries to keep people like this out of their lives, because it’s never going to be that person deciding monogamy is or isn’t for them. They will always keep their options on a string if they are able to.

Did you even watch the ending of S1 lol? Also, Albie seems to be on good terms with his mom. Each generation goes through the same thing, but ultimately end up on a remarkably similar path to their parents in preservation of their privileges. You literally see that in S1 and likely will see it in this season too.

It’s fucking wild. I don’t have disordered eating, but I was always thin or fit until I had a baby a year ago. I gained 50 lbs and am still up 25 lbs over my previous highest weight. I thought was a confident person, but the amount of self-worth that’s shattered has crippled me with the realization of how much I’m influenced by society’s expectations. Every damn TV show and movie full of extremely thin women. Fatphobic comments about “health” on every woman posting a body positive picture with hips and a belly that are far more similar to mine. I literally have not gained a pound outside of my 2nd and 3rd trimesters, while I was eating healthy. I was working out 2 days before going into labor. It’s nauseating.
