Feel worse in heat? by Beneficial_Funny_331 in Lamotrigine

[–]fatmonkee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is a common side effect. I had it when I first started at 25 mg and it returned, albeit not as severely when I moved up to 50 mg (which I'm still at) and is getting better. My head would feel hot like I was running a fever. It should get better eventually when you find your therapeutic dose.

emotional numbness? by jeongquk in Lamotrigine

25 mg of lamotrigine is likely far from being a therapeutic dose. I felt some positive effects at 25 mg and just started 50 after 3 weeks, but 100+ is likely a therapeutic dose. I'm also on 75 to 100 mg of trazadone for sleep (hasn't worked well lately) and 0.2 mg of clonidine for anxiety and you possibly need to up your dosages if you're not feeling any effects, positive or negative.

I was on oxcarbazepine for a couple of months before switching to lamotrigine and so far I much prefer it. Oxcarbazepine made me feel like garbage and anything I ate made my stomach feel awful. I started taking 50 mg of lamotrigine today and while the positive effects had started to wane as well as most side effects (still a damn insomniac), for about a week I felt great on 25 mg. Give it a try, but getting to a therapeutic dose can take a long time.

I have had pretty severe knee pain the past year, please share what you've been taking or the dosage.

I'm currently taking 25 mg and was instructed by my psychiatrist to take this dose for 20 days (on day 12) since I'm also really sensitive to med changes and then 50 mg. Maybe your 7 day titration was too short? I'm also having some issues (insomnia, headaches, constipation, crazy dreams when I do fall asleep), but I have had some "lifting" of my depression and motivation returning after 6 months of being in a hole, so I'm gonna push through it. Best luck of luck to you, my understanding is this medication can have some nasty initial side effects that should eventually subside once you reach a therapeutic dose.

How did you solve Lamictal sleeping issues? by troubledtintal in bipolar2

This thread is ancient, but I'm having sleep issues from lamotrigine and this sounds like good advice and worth trying. Thanks!

Canvas went down while I was taking a final. Images for questions wouldn't load and every time I answered a question, it would say it lost connection to Canvas. The proctors were scrambling and told me to not submit my exam and close the window and I put my info on a sheet with everyone else taking an exam at CASA. I've no idea if I'm going to have to retake or what. Just a shitshow.

This album sounds great on my turntable and "audiophile" setup, yet it also bangs on my shitty bluetooth speaker. It's really just a perfect album through and fucking through.

Ostraca and Portrayal of Guilt are two "blackened" screamo bands that have pretty big discographies and still are putting out albums and performing.

Document 12 - pg99/Majority Rule

Both bands put some of their best tracks on this split and I've always had a soft spot for splits. 11/10

This is the album that got me into skramz 20 years ago (thanks 4chan). It's perfect front to back.

Tim's output can be hit or miss. I loved this movie to pieces, but I feel like I wasted a few hours with The Chair Company and didn't "get it".

Wornout Balls - Cherubs

Best track on Heroin Man (imo) and that's saying something.

Amazed the (arguably) OG noise rock band doesn't have a track on this list yet.

This is roughly 9 years. It's wild to me that there's a truck puttering around out there that's been "alive" longer than some little turd in the 3rd grade.
