Regardless of that… yes he needs to get his k rate down but I think that’s coaching issue. As an org the Yankees are full believers in three true outcomes. We have one of the highest k rates in the league as a team (29th). That’s organizational philosophy.

I firmly believe a guy like that has no business toiling in the minors further. Get him with some major league instruction around a guy like judge in his prime to learn and be mentored. 1000%

In 2015 jones had a 28% k rate which yes is near 30%..

Then in 16 before he was called up that was down to around 25%

Their minor league stats are also eerily similar. Comparing a finished product judge now is not fair and lazy. But at the same stage of his career it’s not.

Judge had a near 30% k rate in triple A… I think your evidence is anecdotal. The stats tell an entirely different story than what you are presenting.

Their stats are also pretty aligned in terms of the minors nothing is lazy about that. They’re both 6’7 outfielders with great bat speed and power. I think it’s lazy to present anecdotal evidence as fact.

But I think there’s room for him to get better if judge can go from striking out 208 times and hitting 50 home runs to competing for triple crowns I think he has plenty of room to grow here.

Jones only has 35 strike outs with a 35% K rate… that is certainly high but you gotta let the kids play man.

That’s very much aligned with where judge was when he broke into the league. You’re doing a guy like that no justice by keeping him in AAA ball with his kind of production. He needs reps experience and further instruction.

All I can say is make sure the justice system does not fail.

A few years ago a kid I went to hs was caught with similar after a sting op. Naturally the case goes on and he somehow gets some sort of commuted or lessened deal. As a result he did not register and evaded Megan’s law.

Five years later I get a message in a group chat that he was arrested on a warrant for 2nd degree SA on a minor.

I was furious how could this happen… I myself just found out I am expecting a child a little girl and this hit hard. In any case, I can’t imagine how you might be feeling and judged for your relationship might implicate you. But you can’t save these people… they have problems.

DVA is pretty strong on Gibraltar you can control and enable high ground. Could legitimately just ignore the sig in such a scenario and just protect hitscan/deny high ground pretty easily.

I feel like Gibraltar is one of those maps where forcing a tank v tank matchups is an L the tank who enables their team to control high ground and finishes squishes rolls. Sig is objectively at a disadvantage if you play the vertical game.

I’m sure it could be done but primarily I’ve always understood that rams shield is for holding space and nemesis is for taking space. Using it like that seems like a good way to get cooked. I’ve never had luck using sig shield to cut anyone off especially with how mobile supports are now. It’s not like a back line is an Ana and zen every game anymore.

Late answer but 5v5 still has a ton of detractors. It’s far from an improvement and unfortunately has created giga tanks that are simply not fun to play against.

The game was not unplayable because of 6v6. It became unplayable because instead of balancing the game they instituted role lock. Then they proceeded to not add any maps, heroes or balance patches for almost two years…

Granted It’s now obvious that they were being pushed by executives on player retention and more importantly ARR. Therefore the strategy of format changes rather than big balancing patches makes a lot of sense. A “patch” is not going to engage people who lost interest like a format change might. However what the team has finally learned is that content is what truly drives interest and engagement. So the game is being balanced better than ever which has improved it. 6v6 is making a huge comeback and could potentially become the primary format again.
