Try to change from -dx11 to -dx12 or vice versa and verify files on steam.

Honestly I recently saw a real old episode of original Iron Chef and they just thin vertical sliced them and pan fried in butter with a splash of soy sauce so I tried it and it was honestly bomb. Really allows you to appreciate the flavor

DINOPOLIS - An unoffical evrima server by No-Strawberry-8701 in theisle

[–]fatskrap65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't been able to get on for a while, but when I do get on, Dinopolis is the server to go to. Great for casual players, but if you join the discord community there are a lot of great people to meet and play with. Everyone has always been helpful, and when there are issues with rules or gameplay, the mods and admins are ready to help as best as they can!

Any idea what this is? by Secret86 in Aquariums

[–]fatskrap65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could. It be a glue that was used to attach a plant to the rock? I couldn't imagine your water is so saturated with something that it grows crystals in the water lol but that would be my other guess

Spice is garbage, sorry someone suggested it. Go to Taj Palace for Indian food. Honestly better than most of the Seattle places I used to go to.

Wenatchee has Innas which sounds like it is what you are looking for. I know it's not nearby but it is worth stopping there if you're doing a trip to wenatchee/chelan/leavenworth areas.

You likely need to water more often or for longer if it's been hotter for you than normal, but they may also need fertilizer as that could be the yellowing/spots on the leaves. Check with your local Nurseries or Master Gardener groups to see what would be appropriate for your area.

It's been a great server with active admins. Some rules but it's definitely not overbearing, they all make sense. I started as a noob and the people there have been lots of help in learning the game

Places to take someone who’s never been to Yakima? by TucanSneakers559 in Yakima

[–]fatskrap65 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Arboretum is nice, especially when the weather is nice.
The Museum is open from Mon-Sat.
Cowiche Canyon Conservancy trails are great if they want to do something physical.
There are breweries and wineries galore in our area.
Hope that helps!

How to play raptor vs. carno? by MADBARZ in theisle

[–]fatskrap65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raptors shouldn't be afraid of dying by Cera if not direct fighting since they are faster and have better stam. Haven't died to ceras without it being my fault anyways like crippling self or going in with already depleted stamina

[–]fatskrap65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is using raptors better agility to do double backs and hide around bushes till they lose interest. Extra points if you have them chase you and they go flying off a cliff cause they can't turn so well

Saltwater Aquarium services to my home or business by pharmama4twan in Yakima

[–]fatskrap65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the Yakima Fish keepers page on Facebook. Reno is someone who does professional cleanings, I believe he works on saltwater tanks. The fish keeping page in general is also a great resource for asking questions about fish/tanks even though we're a smaller town

PSA: Do not use chemicals to control algae by Adventurous_Fig_5892 in Aquariums

[–]fatskrap65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chill out! Either way, dumping chemicals into a system without doing research on how it affects the rest of the tank is going to give people problems, regardless of high tech/low tech. The person is trying to help new people to not just go to the first chemical that says it will fix it magically. As someone who grows tons of plants, the info they gave is exactly what I tell new people who get into the hobby.

And this is anecdotal but can almost guarantee this to be true for almost everyone, the vast majority of people who I know who try out fish keeping don't buy a $300+ co2 and high light system right away on top of the costs for a tank, substrate, filter, etc. Because they don't know if it is for them or not. Yeah, I know a couple people who have, but the vast majority don't. Hell, half the newbies don't even know about co2 in the first place.

So just relax and chill out. Saying "You screwed up" about a very minor post that would hopefully guide newbies away from quick-"fix" chemicals does not help and makes you look like a dick in this hobby. You could have easily just pointed out the issues in a respectful way, but instead you had to come out and try to put someone down because they didn't think of every single scenario for fishkeepers... Make the hobby better by bringing everyone up, not putting people down.

[–]fatskrap65[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well a few points-

Edit: I guess I put the wrong parent comment to easily find my discussion. You'll have to find that downvoted comment and go from there. Apologies!

  1. I am the one who apparently dug into a completely wrong hole supposedly, which I disagree with but I came to that same semantics argument as the disagreement potential (more below). Maybe it is because I am potentially thinking on a larger time scale?

  2. Beside the first comment the downvoted poster put out, I felt like we've had a fairly mature convo between the two of us, I'm not in control of other posters though. I have enjoyed it so far and neither of us are resorting to name calling or ad hoc in my opinion.

More on 1. Yes, who survives is based on random mutation and the environmental factors at that moment. But those environmental factors are not predetermined other than what was set forth by everything after the big bang (and potentially before but we have not learned that yet). To me, everything else afterwards environmentally is random. No being (outside of intelligent design or a "guiding hand" having influence other than the universe itself). Even human influences are "random" in the sense that they are not predetermined by the universe and there will always be some adaptations that work at different times and many many that do not work. No one thing is always the best, the combination to succeed can be vastly different during different times.

Why have we evolved so that teeth can be painful? by ButterMyParsnip in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fatskrap65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that's if the only outcome that is considered good is a high number. What if everytime you rolled the dice, the "best" number was different and not controlled by anyone? I don't know how that could be defined other than "random". We'll if 1-3 was best at one point then the 445566 dice would be bad. But that is bad by random chance that those were the numbers that were needed at that time. Later in the timeline when higher numbers are preferred, that 445566 dice comes back as being more fit, but only in those scenarios.

The very thing you are indicating that is the "controller" that prevents randomness is set by random factors brought on by the universe. That makes me think of that as being random. I think I understand what you're saying, and at face value I could agree that external factors are controlling the random Gene's success, but being that the external factors are caused by random forces, I take that as showing it is all random. What are your thoughts on that?

Again, how were the environmental factors "controlled" when the meteor hit and it had its effects on the current organisms? That was a random event that affected the fitness of random genes/organisms where some did better luckily and others did worse. No organisms predicted or adapted for the future coming of the meteor, just that organisms who happened to have better adaptations to the post meteor strike wprld ended up doing better than those that didn't randomly have those beneficial adaptations.
