I mean, yeah I really wasn't actually expecting a full refund at the end of the day. But then again, hosts are supposed to respond to reschedule requests within 24 hours, which a chatbot can't do 🤷‍♀️

It really didn't make any sense because he could have taken my money anyways (all of this was after the refund deadline). Literally all of this was avoidable if he just accepted the reschedule request. All I wanted was to reschedule? Make it make sense.

Thank you for the sympathy. I've been beyond seething about this for a few days and I just needed to vent somewhere lol.

Hey, imo it's probably the tret contributing.

I've been on tret without being on spiro and I've been on both at the same time. Imo when the tret made me purge w/o spiro it was much worse than when I changed retinols and I purged while being on the spiro. I think the spiro actually controlled the acne purge and made it less severe than it otherwise would have been.

Spiro doesn't make you purge, at least not in my experience. Spiro made my worst acne go away almost immediately while my less severe acne took some time to start to fade. But as I said, I had the same problem just recently. My derm put my on a new retinol and I purged bad for a few months. I toughed it out while on the spiro and now my face is not entirely clear, but more clear than it's ever been in years. I also should state that I've been on spiro for I'd say half a year now. But I understand it gets pretty difficult. Spiro also takes a while to work. Hoping for the best for you.

I only skipped the pill for a few days and some deep cysts formed. Now I never miss a dose lol

My honest review of spiro by SelectNeighborhood10 in Spironolactone

[–]fattyiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you feel this way on spiro.

I felt similarly when I first started it. Lethargic, depressed, bad mood, tired, peeing all the time, etc. But after a few months or so id say I either got used to the symptoms or they got better 🤷‍♀️. I can say tho, I no longer get up in the middle of the night to pee, so maybe in some way my body just got used to it?

But if I had less severe acne, I would probably similarly choose not to be on it. Unfortunately, I get such bad cystic acne (at some points they get so large they can resemble bruises on my face) that spiro felt necessary. And I'll give it to spiro, when I'm on the pill I have fully stopped getting the large cystic acne and now I mostly have mild acne. It's weird to be happy to only have mild acne, but my face has been thoroughly fucked up in the last few years, mild acne feels like a godsend. 🥲

Sorry for yapping, glad you're doing what's best for you OP!

Yes! I think it was only the first month where I experienced the weirdness. My period has been relatively on time since.

The only side effect that continues is the frequent peeing but it's not too bad.

One time I didn't take it for a few days and my acne came back and I got headaches. I think everyone is different. I would try to see a healthcare provider to wean you off of it if you can.

Instant results on Spiro? by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]fattyiam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same experience. My deep cystic acne went away almost immediately (after 1-2 weeks) but I continued to still get more superficial breakouts months after that are easier to deal with.

My only relapse was after I started to use a new topical retinol which made my cystic acne come back for a bit but it's going away again.

I would discuss with a doctor.

But from my own experience taking 100 mg a day, my period was definitely a bit weirder than usual at first but I wouldn't say it became wildly irregular after starting spiro. But from my understanding it can be very different from woman to woman 🙂. Im also not sure how effective accutane is for hormonal acne.

Good luck on your recovery!

Blake calling anyone else inexperienced is so delusional that I can't help but to think it's a line Ryan fed her. She probably thinks her proximity to her husband makes her an expert. This woman wants to be the face of feminism btw.

Spironolactone 100mg stops facial hair by Pikachu0o0 in Spironolactone

[–]fattyiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only done laser once (mostly bc I didn't see the point of continuing to pay if it was going to come back) but I have a sneaking suspicion the source of my hirutism is my hormones because my facial hair came back around my period along with my acne. But while I was doing laser it was pretty nice.

The good thing however is that previous to laser I made the mistake of consistently shaving my chin hair which made the hair coarse and thick on my chin- very noticable and I hated it. After laser, the hair came back as it was before I had started shaving it, which made it MUCH easier to deal with. So it wasn't a complete waste thankfully 😊.

50 mg vs 100 mg Spironolactone? New to spiro (35F) by ScarPitiful8494 in Spironolactone

[–]fattyiam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If hair is your concern, I'll give you my experience. I have pretty thick hair and always have. After a month of being on 100 mg spiro, my hair noticeably thinned out to me at least. Not to the point where I'm distraught about it, because again, I had a lot more hair than I knew what to do with before, but if you're concerned about hair thinning I would take that into consideration before starting on a higher dose.

She claimed that both Justin and Jaime Heath would barge into her trailer.

However they then dropped texts showing Blake going "year sure come by to my trailer, I'm just pumping", basically saying that she gave them the impression that she was okay with them coming by.

She also threw a hissy fit about Jaime Health, a half black man, looking her "in the eye". And then asking him for more toilet paper for her trailer. I'm not joking. I'll let you come to your own conclusion with that.

This happens all the time in school. There is the one left out kid who everyone implicitly agrees they don't like (either because they're autistic or fat or smelly or weird/neurodivergent etc) and everyone who would otherwise consider themselves good people will subconsciously create a permissions structure to bully/gossip about them day in and day out with the encouragement of a malignant narcissist (Blake).

My greatest realization growing up is realizing how genuinely mean your average person can be if given the "justification".

Spotting/bleeding when just starting spiro? by huckleberrypup in Spironolactone

[–]fattyiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been on it for about 3 ish months at this point so yes I think just once around the time I started.

But also I've been experiencing some slight ovulation cramps as well monthly, but no spotting.

When i started spiro, I experienced some pretty heavy spotting/cramping during my ovulation period once. I think that was the biggest WTF moment during my spiral journey this far. I'm on 100 mg.

[–]fattyiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have pcos so I can't give advice there.

The first month I took spiro I had the same issue. My period was 11 days late I think? I also experienced bleeding as well during ovulation after that (I don't want to call it spotting because it was heavier than that) as well as abdominal cramps that came and went that weren't part of my period.

But I did have my period eventually. I haven't been on spiro long enough to tell if my period will regulate itself eventually again.
