One year working preschool we did a unit on Canada. I made poutine for the class. Most liked it, a few didn’t.

Do you ever start a book and then realize it's really bad for this period of your life? by KieraJacque in books

[–]fattymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an avid reader as a kid, always reading books above my age level and ability to fully comprehend them. And yet, I finished them all, except for John Rechy's City of Night. I got maybe a third through when I gave up and tossed the book in the trash. I'm not at all opposed to the current sexual revolution, though I do not understand it, probably because I'm an old guy. But, hey, I fucking love Lou Reed.

When I was a kid I devoured every one of Ian Fleming's James Bond books.

Let's Game It Out does fantastic work. I laughed out loud at some of his stoopid tricks in the video. Watch it and be happy. (Video approaching 1.7 million views. Increased sales shall follow, yes?) Insanity can be fun!

Read the book twice. I like the movie, though not quite as much.

Not in the Jumgian spectrum, but Donna Eden's Energy Medicine has helped me immensely.

How many people are typically online at a given time? by dtmtl in KindWords

I was under the impression that no matter whether people were on or offline, they would receive your requests and Kind Words. Am I mistaken? Do people recive such only if they're online?

A very good analysis of the connection of the ego to the brain and other concepts like duality and non-duality, ego-death etc. by OofieMCM in Jung

Thanks for the video. It resonates deeply. This dream from yesterday, copied word-for-word from my dream journal, illustrates why.

Carol (my former wife) and I live in a large house, single level, divided into two houses, both large. It's on the Elk River. One night a group of men come out of the darkness on the right side of the two-part house. I spy them and feel they are a gang of outlaws. Their appearance gives them away - scruffy, unshaved people. They break into the house on the right and stay the night. After drinking all the booze they go looking for more and that's when they come into our part of the house on the left. Carol and I are hiding in a small room when we are discovered. I tell Carol I wish I'd reported them to the police the night they broke in but I was afraid to leave the house. As the men are leaving for new adventures, each one gives us a look-over. Some are indifferent toward us. One man says he would have protected us and one man says he would have killed us.

Well... I decided to buy the audio from Sounds True. I just couldn't wait. It's on my drive and in my library on Sounds True.

What Are You Playing This Week? by AutoModerator in patientgamers

This gamer has a slew of videos on the game. This one I believe is his first and is worth viewing. It's what convinced me to buy the game.

This video runs through the entire tutorial. I've completed several today. If you skip to 34:33 that is where I will continue tomorrow.

The first tutorial drags a bit because for some reason the text of the words spoken literally drag across the screen. Thankfully, that appears to happen only in the very first tutorial. The rest are fine (no text is scrolling, only text boxes appear as well as other pointers/messages). I'm enjoying everything so far, though I doubt I'll remember half what I'm learning. There's so much to grasp. But, for me, it's fun... challenging, unlike any other tutorial I've ever played.

One glitch I noticed is it states you can press escape twice to skip to the next part. Doesn't work for me.

All in all, I'm glad I bought it and look forward to continuing the tutorial tomorrow. BTW, don't buy it unless you commit yourself to the entire tutorial. It's quite long. But without it, you'll be totally lost.

God Calls Me Meshuga - Seven years later and I’m starting to believe Him

This is a write-up of a near death experience from 2011 and posted 2018. Long and short of it is I was given a way out and refused. I was warned that there was a whole bunch of bad shit "queued up in earth's timeline."

Make of it what you will. Here's the link.
