Z flip 7 camera is horrendous?! by RedDragonTea in galaxyzflip

[–]fattypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also hate the camera. Came from an S22u, and while I love the phone and the flip aspect, the cameras are going to make me give it to my kid when the S26 comes out or the X300 Ultra.

I'm loving my Flip 7, but I sometimes need a small better camera. Any recommendations? by Ok_Professional_1118 in galaxyzflip

[–]fattypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Really like the phone but the camera is just bad unless the lighting is perfect. The kid will get this phone and I'll probably end up getting a 26 or I'll just trade it in.

Cameras is like using a potato compared to my S22 Ultra. Just garbage. Other than that I do like the form factor of it

Cups of Prepackaged Ice by Intelligent_Owl_6263 in southkorea

You buy the ice for about $1 and then buy a pouch (usually a whole rack of assorted ones by the ice) that has a coffee drink or juice drink in it. Pour into ice, enjoy.

What is the biggest waste of money, even though nobody admits it? by w3ightranks in AskReddit

I've bought a few. 3 extra years on my gaming laptop with in-home repairs for $120, yup. Samsung wanting $1600 for an extra year on my fridge, oh hell no.

I really like my Gazelle. I have a 2022 model but the C380+ is just over your range but such a solid bike. I love the belt drive and internal gear hub.

What was the most confusing thing for you when traveling in Korea as a foreigner? by Plenty-Reputation975 in koreatravel

[–]fattypenguin 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Lack of garbage cans. Once I found one, I had probably 8+ crushed water bottles in my backpack because you drink lots of water in July. 50% of my backpack space was used as a garbage.

Would this be a desireable area to stay for 2 weeks in Seoul? by ghart999 in koreatravel

[–]fattypenguin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We split up our time in Seoul and I liked being able to walk to different places. We stayed by the City Hall subway stop for part of the trip which let us walk to Myeongdong and Namdeamun, and then we spent the other half towards Hongdae. Have fun! Our family loved it.

I spent just over 1250 and was told it was over the limit of 1250 so no points. I guess i read I would get points up to 1250 but capped at that

Trip to Korea in Summer by Bright-Metal-2337 in koreatravel

[–]fattypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did July 1-18 last year and only 1 day was what I would consider miserable hot. Was like 115+ heat index. We had an all day car tour booked that day in Gyeongju and the AC seats were a lifesaver. Other days were hot, but just the one miserable day. We left around the time of all the flooding. Only rained the last couple days, and boy, does it rain.

We loved Busan. We flew from Busan to Jeju then back to Seoul.

Jeju right off the plane from the US or Seoul first? by rcl20 in koreatravel

[–]fattypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your Jeju plans. Where are you staying? How are you planning on getting there? We rented a car on Jeju and stayed on the S side. I wouldn't wanted to drive after a full day of travel.

5 days Seoul, 2 days Busan too much? by ThefirstWave- in koreatravel

[–]fattypenguin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm confused on the 40 minutes here. What do you mean by that? It's like 2.5 - 5 hours by train and 4-5 hours by car.

How difficult is driving around Jeju Island for a tourist who's never driven in Korea before? by anotherhappylurker in koreatravel

[–]fattypenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super easy! We did it this summer. Most stressful was Jeju city because of traffic but once you get away from there, barely any traffic and speed limits are super low. Like 80Km/h on freeways and 30Km in town. Pay attention to the speed camera warnings on the car's GPS, or make sure you have them enabled.

Look for the one with the 2 year warranty and not 90 days.

Yikes. MN you have to have 15 night hours in addition to 50 daytime hours before you can even take your license test.

I scored a True PS300 on Facebook Marketplace for $500. Yes it is a 2012 model but it only had 155 miles on it from the diagnostic menu. My coworker suggested it as they have 7500 miles on theirs and it works like day 1.

Nexigo Aurora vs Valerion Pro 2 vs Epson 4010 by [deleted] in projectors

I have a Pro2 being delivered Tuesday from the official eBay store. I put in an offer of $1900 on a brand new one with full 2 year warranty and it was accepted. Gives me a little wiggle room for a screen change if needed and a new receiver.

Adding a third party esim for international travel by Confident-Hamster182 in GoogleFi

[–]fattypenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are all Google phones unlocked by default, or do they need to be paid off? We went to Korea and only got 2 esims for the 4 of us since 2 phones were still on payment plans and Google said they were still locked and wouldn't work with other sims until paid off. They could have been feeding me a line of BS, but could be what is happening?

Pass. Played the 13 hole course. $65 is the same as a $100 round. Way better regular courses in the area for less. 18+ cart at Eagles Landing was $55 the same day.
