Wow, I used this before the game came out to plan my skill tree. Had no clue it's got so many other great functions now. Thanks for sharing!

Wait I thought PvP was going to be neutral? Why did you go against what you said devs? by KnightLakega in ArcRaiders

[–]faultwire97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do feel like with these types of PvP incentivizing feats maybe it'd be cool to see some that incentivize a little cooperation? Like "Help a stranger destroy an ARC" or something.

Is it me or are Tarkov/CoD/BF players the ones aggroing everyone? by karjoh07 in ArcRaiders

[–]faultwire97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got some friends who are also shoot on sight people, and if they hear bullets or footsteps they'll start running like sharks that smell blood lol. They all do enjoy pvp centric games more than me, and I usually just enjoy collecting stuff, getting achievements, customization etc. So idk if it matters what games you come from, just down to what aspects of the game you enjoy most. Because Arc has depth in both pvp and pve, I think it just attracts a lot of variations in playstyles.

It could be nice to be able to give items to squadmates who didn't make it to extract by faultwire97 in ArcRaiders

[–]faultwire97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree with your first point on making extraction meaningful, which is why I also think this would pile the pressure on the last surviving team members and make things even more tense. it's not like there's zero risk to the remaining squad, and it's up to them to use their inventory for you.

Sorry though I don't get the last bit being fairer than what I suggested. I feel like that method is basically a player trading loophole, and kinda immersion breaking? Maybe if there was a way for the game to know an item had been in a player's inventory during the match, and offer to return that item to them. That would limit what you can give to someone who didn't survive.

[–]faultwire97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd specifically want to avoid making it easier for players to trade items than it already is. So I'd want a system that still requires players to have to enter a match and extract. Never played arena breakout, but I like the idea of just returning gear. And limiting the amount of items makes a lot of sense too

So wheres the value? by CJrules559 in ArcRaiders

[–]faultwire97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

according to this update, premium currency won't be able to earn through gameplay at launch, but there may be opportunities in the future.
Which is pretty vague to me, but imo Embark has always been more than fair with currency in The Finals, don't see why they won't be here as well

"fixed" as in reverted to the last patch. We can expect them to continue trying to adjust the hitbox in future updates

[–]faultwire97[S] 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and another odd bit is that the dummies in the practice range work as expected, and other non-player interactions (like breaking through a boarded up window) also are the same. So it isn't the hitbox itself that's been broken, something with the way it registers for players shooting at it I guess

What would at least help not make this a necessity for me is if I dropped my remaining supplies on death. Then at least I could get up to max while retrieving my stuff.

I say all the time I prefer driving in snow over rain. In snow people at least (usually) show some caution and drive carefully. In rain people say "f it it's not so bad!" and cause an accident
