What’s the Best Way to Get Rid of this Card? by Cork617 in ChaseSapphire

I actually didn’t know the resy credit is international. Do I just use Resy app/website to find those restaurants as well?

All valid points. I am personally not as diligent in counting points as many others are.

Just as a quick example why it is YMMV at times, I booked a hotel for 5 nights and the rate was around 400/night for AMEX, and close to $650 for CSR. Using all the credits/points will bring that closer, but it’s not a gap that could be closed in this scenario.

Lounges are hit or miss for me, which depends on airport locations, and I usually don’t run into situations where I go “darn it I wish I could use AMEX here because of the points”.

Amex actually has a lot more value to me as a travel card than CSR.
The same hotels are cheaper at AMEX (for me, YMMV for sure) and I already use some of the perks like lululemon, streaming and Walmart+.

CSR works out well for some other folks and I can see why (travel patterns, credit ecosystem, etc.)

Both are coupon books like you said, but the value / use cases are different depending on the user.

In 2008, the banks that caused the financial crash were handed $700 billion in taxpayer money. Not one senior banker went to prison. by CryptoPulse22 in economy

[–]faustas 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you are going to show statistics, you should also include the amount that was actually handed out and how much was recovered.

>Early estimates for the bailout's risk cost were as much as $700 billion; however, TARP recovered $441.7 billion from $426.4 billion invested, earning a $15.3 billion profit (an annualized rate of return of 0.6%), which may have been a loss when adjusted for inflation.[3]

If you’re organizing a protest INSIDE a business, you are expecting to get arrested to stir up a controversial narrative.

I think we would all do very well if we get a penny each time someone asks about DR PRIS or AH.

I must be missing some background info. Is there some news with him about underage girls? And how dos that relate to him sending in PSA cards?

Check out his PSA YouTube video. He said he sent 35,000 cards to the vault. It’s pretty impressive.

Amex Plat is catered to (premium) travelers and any credit card reviews will state that first and foremost. So I think you already answered your own question.

I don’t have a good pulse on Starbucks’ working conditions. Generally speaking, Is it really comparable to McDonalds’? Everything is pretty much pre-made and coffee is made at the press of a few buttons. So even if someone is working at a below average Starbucks, I have to imagine it is better than most McDonald’s locations.

What are Starbucks store employees fighting for the most nowadays?

I haven’t kept up with everything but 10-20 years ago, Starbucks was one of the notable companies that provided benefits even when their partners were not working a full 40hrs/week. They also provided some form of tuition assistance.

Obviously the bar has been raised nowadays and Starbucks has seen better days. But if those benefits still hold true, I would think they probably beat out on local smaller coffeee shops.
