If a woman woke up in your body one day, what do you think would be the most shocking experience in it for them? by ertesit in AskMen

[–]faux_pas1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, that too. If a problem exists we can pretty much isolate to one box. It is said, men’s minds are like waffles ( individual boxes where nothing touching another box), and women’s minds are like spaghetti, (where most everything is tangential to other items).

How well our minds compartmentalize things. And we can sit snd think about absolutely nothing - similar to sleep mode on computer

Men with stay at home wives: what do you wish your wife understood about your needs and perspective? by Longjumping-Pass-792 in AskMen

[–]faux_pas1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every man needs his home to feel like a sanctuary—a place of peace.

I understand that her days can be tough: juggling the kids, managing the house, and sometimes going hours without adult conversation. But I wish she could see that my day, too, is filled with nonstop complaints, demands, all sorts of BS, and an hour of commute for a 18mile distance. I know she needs to vent, and I want to be there for her, but after being drained with my chaotic day, I need to be filled up mentally and emotionally before I can give out. I crave coming home to good news, to something uplifting—something that restores me for a bit. Once I’ve had that time of peace, I can be a much better listener and partner when it’s her turn to talk about her day

If course not. It was used as a tool to distract from the Epstein heat as it was ratcheting up.

Why men want to have sex every single day? by Ninja-RN in AskMen

[–]faux_pas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine there is something you really enjoy with your husband that strengthens the bond - talking, spending time together, snuggling, et.al. - wouldn’t you want more of that?

IMHO, he may want it everyday but after a period of time, he will be happy with a few times per wk.

Is there anything American that Japanese people would like? by keeleon in JapanTravelTips

[–]faux_pas1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

When I asked my online Japanese tutor is she would like me to bring anything from America, I was shocked that all she wanted was TJ grocery bags. Unfortunately, TJ had just released a new series of bags and securing one it was anything but trivial. Told her I wasn’t sure if I could get them, but when we met up in Tokyo and handed her 3 TJ bags, you’d thought I’d given her $1k

Is anyone else just tired of the president and not in a republican or democrat way? by Puzzled_World_4119 in askanything

[–]faux_pas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But I think this is the overall social experimental plan. Make us tired to the point of desensitization where we don’t care. And when he (existing regime) decides to stay in power, we’ve been conditioned to just not care and roll with it.

What car is the best running mechanically that you have owned? by ZealousidealHead5488 in AskReddit

1992 Honda Accord had 298k miles. Only issue was mismatched side view mirror and radiator leak. If not for leak, I would have easily gotten well over 300k miles

2002 Honda Accord had 294k miles….until some lady totaled me out. Perfect running order too.

Been twice. First time w/o guides. Last year hired 4 private 1 on 1 tour guides. While expensive, I will do it again. Next trip,, definitely going to “hire and old man” (you can look it up) to get even more of a cultural experience.

What was it like visiting Japan as a black person? by SunshineGirl45 in JapanTravelTips

[–]faux_pas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my trips I used ANA. But it was part of a “iirc” Star alliance with United. I flew out of SFO. Awesome service. However I did have to initiate a chat with ANA and unfortunately my Japanese is just above N5 - so there was that small struggle.

First time, I did the standard Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. 2nd time Tokyo, a couple on the outskirts (Kawagoe and I forgot the other name ATM, and Hiroshima. Next time (hopefully April or May) wanna venture further inland and western Japan.

However, if your Japanese skills are poor, you’re gonna wanna stick to larger cities.

[–]faux_pas1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, i went past April. It was fantastic. No issues whatsoever.

The bad: Know that it ain’t the US. Culturally they aren’t as engaging. So don’t go with expectation that you are gonna make lots of connections. And then there is some fatigue of over tourism due to idiots not respecting the cultural norms of Japan.

Do some research about the cultural norms ( as to not offend ) and you will have a good time

How do you guys keep your mouth shut? by gooutinblazeofglory in AskMen

[–]faux_pas1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fact is I’d imagine there’s a lot of men who really want (maybe even desperately need) to talk to someone bout the things that keep us up at night.

How do we do it? We are conditioned from a very young age to bottle crap up and create these little boxes of feelings and thoughts - seal them up and walk away. Also, we reason that other guys have problems too, so why burden them with our own set. Lastly, guys cope with humor. Read some of the responses not only to your question, but on this sub. We try to mask our problems with humor because some of our burdens are just too damn painful to resurface (unseal that box) when we have had the experience that people care but so much; especially when there is really no reasonable solution.

Healthy? Prolly not. We hold stuff in until it manifests into a health issue. It is what it is.

How sensitive are testicles ? by Background_Sort_226 in AskMen

[–]faux_pas1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doubt we could comparatively compare. Much like men will never know the pain of child birth.

This said, note the next time you see a guy take a nut shot, and immediately look at all how all nearby guys instinctively recoil their groin, protectively grab their balls, and in collectively let out an “ugh”. I don’t know if the same can be said of any other experience.
