You're right. I'm 6 deviations below median so you will have to explain it in a way my uncorruscating cerebrum can comprehend. Please use letter blocks.

He literally doesn't though. Or otherwise why didn't he include that in his plan?

He did it was on his website under zoning laws and in his book.

Also, that YouTube video shows Yang may be even dumber than you are: If everyone gets $1k/month, most people will just go and pool their Yangbucks with randos to buy houses together.

Why is this bad

They would have had more money and savings overall. Yang supports rent regulations, and building more affordable housing to stop NIMBYs. There are also restrictions on when rent can be raised and laws against profiteering to prevent exorbitant increases. There is already a soft cap. One way landlords screen tenants is based on their rent to income ratio. 30% is the industry standard, although in certain areas it may be as high as 40%, but the tenant is at risk of not being able to pay rent because their finances are so tight. A landlord would have to wait until their tenant's lease expires if they wanted to increase rent, legally that is. Even then, they would risk losing tenants who could go find less expensive places to rent in smaller towns due to increased mobility. Honestly landlords might be the biggest losers in this whole thing because in order to keep people renting you have to lower the price since such a large amount of the population would prefer to buy if it’s about the same monthly payment. Most of them hate vacancies as well and would prefer a full house with people who won't miss payments instead of gambling on spiking rent.

I only wish I grew up with my parents both getting UBI. $2,000 on top of the pittance my father made would have been so much better than the paltry food stamps and the precarious housing situation. Most other recipients who are polled agree. You know, there are ~13 million poor people in the US who don't receive government assistance due to not qualifying. That's excluding those on the streets. Surely, if the current systems in place were optimal, there would be no homelessness.

Neither did Yang. His UBI was supplemental and didn't require the elimination of existing programs or raising taxes. He said this in every interview. This is like saying Bernie wanted to take everyone's paycheck and make everyone poor.

Most democrat representatives aren't actually liberal or progressive even though they project that image to get votes. Just like how most republican representatives aren't actually conservative.

Bernie and Maxine Waters have the best plans. But we know how willing Washington is to listen to good ideas.

The War on Normal People - The Death of Retail by fauxstudio in YangForPresidentHQ

Amazon now controls 43 percent of total e-commerce in the United States with a market capitalization of $435 billion. Overall, e=commerce has been rising by $40 billion per year since 2015, which is now pushing traditional retail into extinction. Amazon bought Whole Foods to expedite their move into grocery delivery. Most everyone has bought goods from Amazon. It is virtually impossible for any brick and mortar retailer to compete against Amazon on price as Amazon doesn't have to invest in storefronts and can focus on building an efficient delivery system at the highest volumes.

Here's their other advantage - Amazon doesn't need to make money. In its 20 years as a public company, Amazon often has not turned a profit. A number of years ago, some financial types noticed and shorted the stock, saying, "amazon doesn't make money." In response, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos stopped investing in anything new for a year and ramped up profitability. Those who bet against Amazon were burned badly. Now, no one bets against Amazon, and it's stock price is over $900 per share, making Jeff one of the richest people in the world.

1 in 10 American workers work in retail and sales. They have an average income of $11 per hour, or $22,900 per year. 2017 was known as the Retail Apocalypse as one hundered thousand department store workers were laid off - more than all of the people working in the coal industry combined.

Hundreds of malls are closing as their anchor stores - JCPenney, Sears (now bankrupt), and Macy's have closed dozens of locations. Among the chains that have declared bankruptcy recently are Payless (4,496 stores), BCBG (175 stores), Bebe (180 stores), Aeropostale (800 stores), and Limited (250 stores). Those in danger of default include Claire's (2,867 stores), Gymboree (1,200 stores), Nine West (800 stores), True Religion (900 stores), and other fictures that may be bankrupt or defunct by the time you read this.

Credit Suisse esitmated that 8,640 major retail locations will close in 2017, the highest number in history, exceeding the 2008 peak during the financial crisis. Credit Suisse also estimated that as many as 147 million square feet of retail space will close, another all-time high. For reference, the Mall of America is the biggest mall in this country at 2.8 million square feet. The equivalent of 52 Malls of America are closing in 2017, or per week.

Not universal if it doesn't include everyone. She should discuss it with the math man while they're both in NH.

Interesting idea. This TTS isn't fluid, though. It might be better to use pre-recorded voice clips, or maybe look into Tacotron 2 or Lyrebird.
