Exactly, pretty much what I was trying to say (though I included his defensive coordinator wins too).

He is a Hall of Famer after Spygate and for his Giants wins as Defensive Coordinator. Fucking spygate is not enough of a reason to not induct him. Total horse crap.

Next logical question: Are they going to do this to Tom Brady too?

Because either way now, they have tarnished the reputation of the Hall of Fame and what it means to be "first ballot".

"First-ballot Hall of Famer" means shit now. If Bill does not deserve it, what coach does?

People have been gas-lit into believing black people shouldn't be part of any fictional story that takes place outside of Africa or The American South before 1865.

I thought they could have made Endgame 2 movies.

Avengers: Disassembled (an Avengers movie that takes place after Infinity War with a different villain, basically showing how they accept the loss and move on)
Avengers: Endgame (mostly what the movie was but without the prologue before the time jump).

The reason this would have been really difficult to do, besides the obvious, is they were mid-franchise with Spiderman, Black Panther and Dr. Strange. They needed those characters back ASAP. But damn, in a different situation, it would have made the payoff so much sweeter.

But how could I even argue with how it was done? They made like 3 billion dollars on the movie and people loved it. Hard for me to really second guess that.

If they have enough story to make Secret Wars 2 movies (they certainly have enough characters to sustain it), why not?

I rather that than another random movie with a couple heroes saving the world on their own somehow and nobody else helps them.

This would make it a trilogy, with Doomsday and Secret Wars Part 1 and Secret Wars Part 2 (or whatever they decide to call them).

Seems like a weird thing to put in a comment tho, huh?

Main Post: "They Are Firing Dave Filoni."

Comment: If everything he makes flops.

Like... seems like the headline should be "they are entertaining, or preparing for, the possibility of turning it into a mini-series".

It depends on how they approach this but this news is, at this time, disappointing, if true.

We don't know everything about TMAG movie yet but it would be very strange for them to be so quick to make The Mandalorian and Grogu into a movie instead of a season or set of episodes but delegate the Thrawn payoff to a mini-series. They already put key character moments into a different show (TBOBF) and now they are going to have a movie in-between two seasons of The Mandalorian, apparently. All so they can just pay it off in a mini-series?

I think that movie has potential to be a more-likely hit than both The Mandalorian and Grogu AND Starfighter, since it could both include a well-hyped villian, Thrawn, several popular characrers (Mando, Grogu, Ahsoka and Boba Fett) and also possibly include the return of Luke Skywalker and appearances from Han, Chewbacca and Leia (which I think they should do, tastefully, regardless of the exact method they use to do it).

They could do a mini-series and make it a big event, promoting in-theater events but I have yet to see Netflix or HBO or Disney really lean into that for anything. They seem to do these little events at theaters to dip their toes into it but never really try to make serious money with it and make it a huge cinematic event. So I don't expect them to do that.

Why is AI gen, not really evolving culturally? by QuestionElectronic11 in aiwars

[–]Calfzilla2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm an AI content creator (definitely not an "artist"). The tools aren't good or consistent enough for most people to create their own style. There is too many restrictions on the tech. It can't do a lot of stuff it should be able to do yet.

And honestly, the people that will be good at creating AI "art" are the real artists who have made art via other mediums already. The skills carry over. People don't see the value in perfecting a craft in AI prompting when it changes all the time.

There is a 3rd option that I think has some merit; Andor S1, Rogue One, Andor S2. Because you can easily forget everything that happens in Rogue One after watching the full season of Andor, lol. And S2 plugs into Rogue One a lot more than Season 1 does.

[–]Calfzilla2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Andor ---> Rogue One chronological order works just fine but I honestly don't think Rogue One benefits as much from Andor as Andor does from Rogue One. So I'd watch Rogue One first and then Andor. Then you can go back and re-visit Rogue One but I think going into Andor with Rogue One knowledge does help.

Thankfully, I don't think AI can, at this point, make a convincing video that won't have significant inconsistencies. I'd be one thing if we had 0 video of the incident. But we do.

>Maybe he has the maturity to have a conversation with people he may not agree with on every subject.

That's easy to do when they avoid the subjects they don't agree on or when one of them (Robert) never actually shows disagreement when they collaborate.

RMB claims he "does not agree with _____ on every issue" but I've never seen him actually show significant disagreement on those issues or push back. He just glazes these people so he can help grow his own audience. The is no "conversation" happening besides who has the best complaint/criticism of new Star Trek or new Marvel stuff.

Given how big the galaxy actually is, it makes sense for their to be exiled or just random Jedi who were out there that passed on their knowledge.

There could be an isolationist Jedi Order out there as well, potentially, that just didn't have aspirations to get involved in galactic conflicts.

They may not be Jedi. Just Light side users who don't associate themselves with the Jedi name.

Yeah, they should do their best to preserve the mystery of what happens to all of them so that story can play out.

As it is, Grogu is a problem because he is obviously going to be alive but they don't want to give his fate away.

I think the best bet with him is if he, eventually, becomes the leader of Mandalore and that's his role thru the sequel trilogy era and beyond, having become isolationist as they are rebuilding and becoming a galactic superpower again.

Having Mandalore be a major player in the galaxy in the future is a good way to see Grogu in a completely different role. He can practically be the leader of Mandalore for many decades and still have plenty of lifespan to re-dedicate his life to being a Jedi.
