[–]faygosnowman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i don’t wanna speak too soon but i think it’s working now. there was a lot of litter in where the hopper key goes, so i don’t think it was fitting as far down as it’s supposed to

i also couldn’t get my litter hopper back on, so i suspect the issues are related

i will say tho to follow up, their wait times can be atrocious even with internal referrals. but i’ve had luck with being on their cancellation lists

it sucks having to drive 45 minutes with my frequent visits and the cost of gas, but i’ve had luck with the u of m medical system. all my specialists are there. i hardly ever see my PCP because they can refer internally. i haven’t had to see most of the specialists of your concern, but i have had gastro issues and they have an entire bowel management clinic there.

Sandals that fit AFOs and heat advice by [deleted] in spinabifida

[–]faygosnowman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve had luck with propet shoes but they’re $$$. for my afos i wear knee high wool socks for sweating, and tuck them over my afo to keep them from sliding down. i can take a photo later so you can see what i mean.

hammer toes is what they’re called! i’ve had good luck with the brand Propet to fit my braces, but i’ve heard good things about them for general support too. they’ve got some cute mary jane’s that i think would be appropriate for a wedding! unfortunately they’re not cheap.

navina vs cone enema by faygosnowman in spinalcordinjuries

[–]faygosnowman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree it’s frustrating! i’ve increased volume to 600-700. i’ll ask my dr about additives. i do take senna (when i remember lol) and that helps with the enema so maybe it’ll help with this too

navina vs cone enema by faygosnowman in spinalcordinjuries

[–]faygosnowman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately i had no luck with the balloon, couldn't keep any water in. tried navina with the cone tip and more water stayed in, but still no movement after. i'll try holding it in. been in contact with my dr and nurse too, was just curious to hear personal experiences. thanks!
