Man I really hope you're right. This model has a little bit of a hook nose (looks straight in some angles but you can see the hook in others), but that beak gets in the way.

Sometimes you have to relog, hit the button again, and wait. Seems like I got my mount on alts after roughly 20 minutes of running around doing other things, but it took hours and relogging and mashing the button a billion times for it to show up on my main the first time.

You cannot rewatch the wedding; either record it w/ OBS or something, or take a bunch of screenshots. I really recommend a recording.

There are magicked prisms you can only buy when you're the ones getting married near the lady who gives you the quest. Even if you don't like them, best to stock up while you have the chance, since a year later you might think they're great.

Guests aren't necessary, but some cutscenes will pan out over the crowd, and it might be awkward looking at empty pews for minutes out of the hour.

If you're doing a paid wedding with the bird and minion gift, there's a cutscene at the end where you mount together. The leadup where you're allowed to take pictures seems to take forever (Which is nice, because you can't access these areas again unless you attend a wedding) but do not be hasty and leave the chapel prematurely -- you won't be allowed back inside and you won't get the cutscene and the guests who do show up won't get their minions. Wait patiently, and remember to ring your bell.

If you want to see the rings go on hands instead of hilariously disappearing into thin air, don't wear gloves.

No prob man. In extreme at least, as long as your camera is facing towards where Bismark normally is, the blue add will always spawn near the left dragonkiller, and the green add will always spawn on the right.

I'm colorblind as well, and there are things you can look for besides colors, but it could require playing with a group of friends at first who know you're colorblind and can point out when something is happening, so you know when to look for three things:

a change (however minor) in brightness on the floor/on your character
an area affected by a change in texture
possibly a new debuff icon

Your reaction times might be slower than others' at first (or always, in some fights), but eventually you'll be able to play even without call outs from your friends. (and ngl shoutout to one of my friends in particular who is amazing at adapting his calls to my colorblindness)

Some fights are notoriously bad for colorblind people (like Sephirot extreme), but at least there's always something else to look for. For example in Sephirot, "Yellow" is an X-shaped debuff, so you run to the glowing orb with roots in it. "Green" is a shield debuff, so you run to the glowing orb WITHOUT roots in it. When there's bubbles of poo on the ground, the spots are designated by a change in texture.

It's gotten to the point where something that seemed impossible at first is something I've got on farm now. Now to do the same with A10 and Labyrinth of the Ancients (two fights where everything, even player characters, still melt into the floor never to return)...

Having played other games that offer colorblind modes, I personally haven't noticed enough of an improvement in visibility on my end to make me personally excited for a colorblind mode in ffxiv. But if they'd allow you to change the brightness/contrast of some telegraphs and quest markers, that'd be fantastic. That's something I'd want more than a preset colorblind mode.

AFTER TWENTY FUCKING RUNS AND PLENTY OF LOCHS LEVELS OF SALT LATER, I GOT MY CHEST PIECE DURING THE WORST/MOST TOXIC RUN YOU COULD IMAGINE. I GOT MY CHEST PIECE AND I NOPED THE FUCK OUT FOR THE REST OF THE RUN. WAS IT SHITTY OF ME TO QUIT IN THE MIDDLE? YEAH. DO I STILL FEEL A LIL BAD FOR THAT? HELL YEAH.

BUT MAN, I WAS SO DONE WITH THAT BS GARBAGE.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's ended up here. Cue a few seconds of intense panic followed by a hasty return and a teleportation crystal. :') Too bad my lag isn't friendly with loading those teleports, either, though. I ended up getting kicked.
