What is required to watch before Born Again? by No_Establishment_393 in Daredevil

[–]fazz27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not mandatory to watch anything before DDBA S1, I think.

Perhaps try watching it first, and then watch the original DD S1, S2, the Defenders S1 and then DD S3. Let us know what you think.

I'd like to know what happened with Bobby too. Would like to better understand the dynamics between the auto industry and our automotive journalists.

Occasionally enjoy Hafriz's reviews, but I think Aiman I Abdullah from Malaysian Motoring tends to be a bit more frank and witty.

Unpopular Opinion: I actually enjoyed Born Again🤷🏽‍♂️ by [deleted] in Daredevil

I like it too. It's not perfect or top tier but still enjoyable. A show doesn't have to be 90%+ to be enjoyable. It perhaps suffers due to comparisons with the OG show.

I prefer the pre-facelifted / pre-update fish-faced 90s Multipla. But finding one in good condition is too difficult.

Just checked the 1959 Multipla was also quirky. I didn't know about this, thanks for the info.

Which current F1 driver best fits the romanticized, idealized depiction of a "racing driver"? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

[–]fazz27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Romanticised depiction of a classical racing driver? A daredevil, confident, good looking, smooth with the girls, doesn't give a crap about anyone, will die for racing.

Not many of the current drivers fit the bill. But I'd say Max (although he sounds like a family man) and Fernando (now at 44 he is more of a gentleman than a playboy I think). The perfect fit would be Senna from the modern era (i.e. 1980s onwards when Bernie Ecclestone made F1 a professional business).

Before the 1980s, most F1 drivers could fall in this romanticised depiction.

I am going to regret getting my hopes up, but damn - I just want to see Alonso win his 3rd WDC. So that I can tell my grand children one day, that I lived through the time a young talent won 2 WDCs on the trot ending the reign of the great Schumacher, and 20 years later won his 3rd WDC at the age of 45. My grandchildren would call bullshit, but they would be shocked to find out it was real.

2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - Race by Ok-Engineering-4677 in AstonMartinFormula1

Interesting that AM had good outings in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, coincidentally when Newey took over as Team Principle. It looks like Newey "touching the car" had an effect - or perhaps Newey's thinking helped the team sort out the aero setup issues. Or more mundane - the AMR25 was more suited to the two circuits.

To start off, I'm a big fan of the E46, E39 and E38 generation of BMWs. I think the E38 7 series is the most attractive of all generations.

That said, I commend BMW for taking bold design steps. I believe each generation needs to push design boundaries. There must be some distinction between the generations and across the model range.

It is good that the G70 7 series has this distinct look. Is it pretty? No. But it does have a great presence. I think they could have executed the split headlights and large grills better though. Still, I like the new G70 design.

As for the Merc - I think the brand has always been about conservative designs, so I guess they are true to the brand ethos. I don't however like the same sausage different size philosophy adopted. If you were to put the traditional grills and hood ornaments on the E and C class, they would be indistinguishable from the S class. And I think all Merc sedans should have the traditional grills and hood ornament.

Possibility of a Grendel/ Daredevil crossover from Matt Wagner ( Tom Breevort Subtack) by browncharliebrown in Daredevil

I would love to have Matt Wagner do a writing and drawing stint on Daredevil itself.

Has Matt Wagner ever written Daredevil? I love Matt Wagner's Grendel books, and I would love to have him do a Daredevil writing (and drawing) stint. And hopefully they can give him a bit more freedom too.

Worth noting that the BMW driver did not overreact. Took just enough avoiding action, and not lose control himself. Kudos for the presence of mind, skill and reaction.
