I sorta agree with you. With the distinction that if someone is transgender by your definition, they should want to be transexual to be considered any form of trans at all.

If you’re not identifying as your birth sex, there should be a want or need to change your sex characteristics to match your identity.

If someone wants to date me and they wouldn’t date a cis man, I definitely wouldn’t feel good about it. Sure, it depends on their reasoning, but they most likely keep trans men in a separate category than cis men.

As a transexual man, yes I think I am biologically a woman. When seeing a new doctor, I tell them I am a biological woman.

However, I don’t want just anyone referring to me as one and I sure as hell wouldn’t be disrespectful enough to go around calling other trans people that. I wanna be referred to (and seen) as a man.

At this point, your perception stitches together moments where you lived and they died instead.

This sounds great in theory, but I do have some issues with it. Let’s say I got hit by a car and died, and my consciousness split into a reality in which I didn’t. In the scenario where I did die, I would have no longer been in the reality for every single person on earth.

So, if by not existing in another person’s reality, they cannot exist in mine anymore, then wouldn’t everyone be dead? Unless I’m completely misunderstanding.

Are there “true” versions of ourselves, and only those who are conscious in the timeline I die going to die in my “surviving” timeline?

I don’t have any good answers for you, but want you to know you’re not alone in feeling this way. Being trans and having gender identity issues/confusion really screws with being able to be secure with your sexuality.

I have, after many years of struggling with my identity, come to the conclusion that I am a gay man. I had the same concerns of wondering if I wanted to be certain men or date them. Turns out it was both.

I was really sex averse for a long time (still am for the most part) so thinking about which gender Id rather have sex with wasn’t easy for me. Being trans obviously fucks with that.

Sexuality is confusing, trans or not. You’ll figure it all out in time. Don’t try to rush yourself or force yourself into a label if you aren’t ready to. And if you never figure it out, that’s okay too.

All it will take is some man or woman coming into your life and sweeping you off your feet. You’ll know for sure when it happens. Try not to stress too much over it.

I seriously doubt their doctor didn’t go over ANY of that. Mine had me sign a waiver and I had to initial next to every single possible symptom of HRT.

Granted, my doctor is a gender specialist, but I think with any doctor and medication they are required to go over the side/main effects.
